Definitions of Mission, Vision and Values


Strategic Planning:
Strategic planning is an organization's process of defining its strategy, or direction, and making
decisions on allocating its resources to pursue this strategy. The key components of 'strategic
planning' include an understanding of the firm's vision, mission, values and strategies.
Mission:
Mission defines the fundamental purpose of an organization or an enterprise, succinctly
describing why it exists and what it does to achieve its vision.
Vision:
Vision outlines what the organization wants to be, or how it wants the world in which it operates
to be (an "idealized" view of the world). It is a long-term view and concentrates on the future. It
can be emotive and is a source of inspiration.
Values:
Values are beliefs that are shared among the stakeholders of an organization. Values drive an
organization's culture and priorities and provide a framework in which decisions are made.
Below some organizations Mission, Vision and Values are mentioned in light of quality
dimension.
KFC
Mission:
KFC is an internationally renowned fast food industry in the world. They have the main ambition
to increase & maintain the QUALITY in fast food industry. Their aim is to capture the fast food
market. Basically they want to provide their products to anyone that is why they expanding their
branches in all over the world. They want to increase their profit through giving maximum
satisfaction& other better facilities to people that they want.
Vision:
Our passion, as a restaurant company, is to put a YUM on people's faces around the world,
satisfying customers every time they eat our food and doing it better thanany other restaurant
company.
Values:
Food, Fun & Festivity, this is what KFC is all about.

Quality Dimension:
Maintaining quality is a mission of KFC.
