1. Introduction:
Since its inception in 2009 LIFTs operation has grown, more donors have joined and, in line with this,
LIFTs visibility requirements have developed.
This document sets out the updated requirements and guidelines for use of the LIFT logo and for
presenting LIFTs visual identity.
The Fund Management Office (FMO) and Implementing Partners (IPs) are required to publically credit all
LIFT funded activities to the Fund. This requirement is compulsory.
Providing visibility of the Fund will be through the display of the LIFT logo at delivery sites,
banners, on assets, and through clearly crediting LIFT on all promotional materials.
Display of the logo should be accompanied by the words funded by to clearly mark the role of
the LIFT in the project.
LIFT funding should be mentioned in all public and press statements and media coverage, as
well as acknowledged prominently on the cover page of any LIFT funded publication, research or
study.
Logo 1 Uses:
Written materials such as LIFT- funded reports and presentations. The logo is to appear on the
cover page
Invitations and event agendas
Signboards at the project offices or project sites
Banners and brochures for meetings, briefings, trainings or other uses
Materials produced with LIFT funding such as CDs, calendars, posters, newsletters, etc.
IP website pages featuring LIFT funded projects, or LIFT funded programme websites (for instance,
Tat Lan.org). Where possible, link to www.lift-fund.org
On video and public presentations about LIFT-funded projects
Logo 2 Uses:
Infrastructure projects (bridges, grain bins, school houses, etc.) funded by the LIFT project
If a commemorative plaque is placed on infrastructure, the plaque should include the LIFT logo
and the phrase funded by LIFT in English and Myanmar
On flags, vehicles, boats, motor cycles, and other equipment funded by LIFT and used by the FMO
or IPs in implementation of activities. In these cases, the logo can also be used with the words,
Livelihoods and Food Security Trust Fund in English or Myanmar language.
Visibility items (sometimes in conjunction with Logo 1, for instance, T shirts)

Colours

Size
The logo should not be smaller than 35 mm/ 24 x 49 pixels
Positioning
The LIFT logo should be displayed prominently. No changes are to be made to the color scheme, nor is
the image to be skewed or distorted. In text-only materials where it is not possible to include the logo,
include the line: This project is funded by the Livelihoods and Food Security Trust Fund (LIFT)
UNOPS Logo
Official correspondence of the FMO will use the LIFT logo 1, except with the Government of Myanmar
where the UNOPS logo will be used to reflect the legal status of FMO operations in Myanmar

Communications Materials
IPs are requested to provide the following materials and assistance to the LIFT communications office:
Share with the FMO its communications plan for the activity
Send two beneficiary success/capacity development stories to the FMO as part of the six
monthly reporting
Send five of its best photos of activities to the FMO as part of the six monthly reporting
Share copies of any video material generated on the project with the FMO on an ad hoc basis
Share copies of any press coverage on the project (in MM language and EN) on an ad hoc basis
Facilitate visits of the FMOs communications team to obtain beneficiary stories
Text for stories referencing IPs will be agreed upon with the IP, and photos used in public documents
will acknowledge the source.
IP promotional and website material referencing LIFT funded activities including press releases, success
stories and publications should acknowledge funding received through LIFT. When a LIFT funded project
is featured on-line, a link is required to www.lift-fund.org. The FMO should be provided with copies of all
publications funded by LIFT.

The FMO has been provided authorisation under the IPs MoA to communicate or publish the name of
the IP, the maximum amount of the individual grant, and a description of the activities funded.
All printed communications materials prepared for LIFT by the FMO, including annual reports and press
releases must be reviewed and approved by the FB.

An acknowledgement to donors and a disclaimer will be included in all public LIFT documents. The
following text should be used:

Zealand, Sweden, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, and the United States of America for their kind
contributions to improving the livelihoods and food security of the poorest and most vulnerable people in
Myanmar. Their support to the Livelihoods and Food Security Trust Fund (LIFT) is gratefully
acknowledged.
The following text should be used as a disclaimer on all public LIFT documents:

Media
Authority to make statements on behalf of LIFT is limited to the Donor Consortium, the Fund Board, and
the Fund Director. No IP can make statements on behalf of LIFT.
Any requests from media received by IPs regarding LIFT should be referred to Jacquetta Hayes, LIFT
Communications Officer, at jacquettah@unops.org.

Where possible, all public documents should be translated into Myanmar language simultaneously with
English language versions. In the case of inconsistencies between English and Myanmar language
publications, refer to the English language version.
Translations into the Myanmar language for LIFTs full name, for the word livelihood, and for the
phrase food security are given below. Please note that livelihood and food security have different
translations for the household and policy levels.
