To gain a deep understanding of scientific concepts and to
work well with a variety of science processes, students must
develop essential skills that allow them to read, write, listen
to, and speak about scientific texts and presentations. Lit-
eracy in the Science Classroom is a handy tool to improve

Teachers Award, and is currently the vice principal of a

words in length and focus on phonics and learning the alpha-
bet. The Alphabet Storybook Set contains five storybooks and
one audio CD with 26 songs, one for each letter of the alpha-
bet. Each storybook has short stories highlighting a different
letter of the alphabet as well as a picture dictionary.

who have lived and worked in South Korea, where they have
