Discussion:
Meat plays a very important role
in cooking. It is a valuable source
of protien and minerals like iron.
Usually meat is the most
expensive item in the food
budget. So, it is important to buy
wisely considering both quality
and quantity and it should be
properly store and prepare
properly all types of meat.

kinds of meat. I will divide you
into two groups. Choose your
own leader. Identify the different
kinds of meat in the picture.

In buying meat, it is very
important to consider its texture,
color, and odor so that we can
achieve the perfect meat to be
cooked to be served, and to be
eaten.
Meat Textures should be:
Fine texture, whips of creamy.
Meat color should be:
Meat- read in color,
Bones should be bright white,
white fat should be evenly
distributed throughout the cut.
Remember class avoid deep
purple or dark brown colors,
which means the meat is on the
verge of going bad or comes older
animal.
Meat odor should not have Foul
or spoil in odor.
Meat should be look presentable
and undamaged, taste and even
smell acceptable after cooking.

handling. It is important for us to
eat meat because it gives protien
