Article IV, Section 16 - Rating in the Board Examinations
a. To be qualified as having passed the Board examination for Agricultural Engineers, a
candidate must obtain a weighted general average of seventy percent (70%), with no grades
lower than fifty-five percent (55%) in any given subject.
b. An examinee who obtains a weighted general average rating of seventy percent (70%) or
higher but obtains a rating below fifty-five percent (55%) in any given subject must take the
examination in the subject or subjects where he obtained a grade below fifty-five percent (55%).

Article III, Section 16 - Ratings in the Examinations
The licensure examination shall consist of both written and practical tests and in order to pass
the examination, an examinee must obtain a general weighted average of at least seventy-five
percent (75%), with no rating below fifty percent (50%) in any subject.

j. Examination Fee of Php 600 (Complete) and Php 450 (Conditioned/Removal).
QUALIFICATIONS:
a. Any of the following:
* Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering with at least one (1) year work
experience;
* Completed at least three (3) years of Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering
(BSEE) with one (1) year practice in electrical wiring and installation, operation and
maintenance of utilization devices and equipment;
* Has graduated two (2) years Electrician course with at least two (2) years of
apprenticeship after completion of the course on electrical installation, operation and
maintenance of utilization devices and equipment;
* Has completed a one (1) year Electricians course with at least three (3) years of
apprenticeship after completion of the course on electrical installation, operation and
maintenance of utilization devices and equipment;
* Has completed a four (4) year high school education or its equivalent with at least five
(5) years of apprenticeship in electric wiring, installation, operation and maintenance
of utilization devices and equipment.
b. All First Timers - FTB (For-the-Board).

On-the-Job Training;
e. A Masters or Doctorate degree in either Architecture, Engineering, Ecology, Economics,
Geography, Geology, Public Administration, Business Administration, Sociology, Social
Science, Law, Environmental Science, Environmental Management, Development
Management, Natural Resources Planning and Development with three (3) years of On-theJob Training;
f. A Bachelors degree in Architecture, Engineering, Economics, Public Administration, Law,
Social Work and Community Development or Sociology with five (5) years of On-the-Job
Training;
g. Incumbent holders of planning positions in the national, regional or local government offices
or agencies including government-owned and controlled corporations and have been engaged
in development planning functions. Provided, that they are holders of professional civil service

eligibility and they have undergone at least eighty (80) hours of in-service training or distance
learning in developmental planning from a government agency, school or institution
recognized by proper authorities.
* The On-the-Job Training required shall be undertaken under the supervision of a
Registered and Licensed Environmental Planner or the applicants immediate
supervisor in an agency or organization which is engaged or involved in environmental
planning functions or programs.

Article III, Section 17 - Ratings in the Examination and Re-examination
To be qualified as having passed the licensure examination for guidance and counsellors,
a candidate must have obtained a weighted general average of seventy-five percent
(75%) with no grade lower than sixty percent (60%) in any given subject.
An examinee who obtains a weighted general average of seventy-five percent (75%) or
higher but obtains a rating below sixty percent (60%) within two (2) years from the date
of last examination.
The subject or subjects retaken must have each rating of no less than seventy-five
percent (75%) in order to qualify as having passed the examination.

Article III, Section 17 - Rating in the Licensure Examination
To be qualified as having passed the Board Examination for Interior Designers, a candidate must
obtain a weighted general average of seventy percent (70%)
FOR REPEATERS
An applicant who fails to pass the examination for the third time shall be allowed to
take another examination only after the lapse of one (1) year.

QUALIFICATIONS:
a. A graduate of Baccalaureate or Post Graduate Degree in Landscape Architecture;
b. In lieu of the preceding, a graduate of a Baccalaureate Degree in Architecture with at least
twenty (20) units of Landscape Architecture design courses or with at least five (5) years
experience in the field of Landscape Architecture;
c. A graduate of Baccalaureate Degree in Horticulture with at least forty (40) units of Landscape
Architecture design subjects or at least five (5) years experience in the field of Landscape
Architecture.

Article IV, Section 15 - Rating in the Board Examinations
To be qualified as having passed the Board Examination for Landscape Architects, a candidate
must obtain a weighted general average of seventy percent (70%), no grades lower than sixty
percent (60%) in any given subject.
An examinee who obtains a weighted general average rating of seventy percent (70%) or higher
but obtains a rating below sixty percent (60%) in any given subject or subjects must take the
examination in the subject or subjects where the examinee obtained a grade below sixty
percent (60%) within two (2) years from the date of his/her last examination.
If the examinee still fails to pass the subject after two (2) attempts, the examinee must take the
entire Board Examinations again.
If in the removal/conditioned examination, the examinee gets a much lower grade such that if
the general weighted average is recomputed, it becomes lower than the required seventy
percent (70%), the examinee must take the entire Board Examinations again. The subject or

subjects retaken must have each a rating of no less than seventy percent (70%) in order to
qualify as having passed the examination.
FOR REPEATERS

a. Graduate of Bachelors degree in Library Science and Information Science: Provided further,
that within five (5) years from the effectivity of this Act, holders of the following degrees shall
also be allowed to qualify for application to the licensure examination:
* Bachelor of Arts with a major or specialization in Library Science;
* Master of Arts in Library Science or Library and Information Science;
* Any Masteral degree with concentration in Library Science.

* Certificate of Experience (PRC Form 104) duly Notarized and signed by a Registered
Master Plumber whose date of registration is prior to the applicants employment;
* Certificate of Employment / Service Record.

Article III, Section 18 - Ratings
To pass the examination, a candidate for a Professional Mechanical Engineer, a Mechanical
Engineer, and Certified Plant Mechanic must obtain an average of seventy percent (70%) on all
subjects, with no rating below fifty percent (50%) in any of the subjects.

a. A graduate from a Vocational or Trade School completing an approved course of not less than
two (2) years in Stationary or Power Plant Engineering or any Mechanical Plant Operation;
b. Has a specific record of additional one (1) year or more of active practice in Mechanical Plant
operation of such character as indicated in an affidavit of a Registered Professional
Mechanical Engineer and, likewise establish that the applicant is competent to undertake
Operation, Tending and Maintenance of Mechanical Works, Projects or Plant of not less than
one hundred (100) kilowatts;
c. Affidavit of Competency signed by a Registered Mechanical Engineer or Professional
Mechanical Engineer;
d. First timers - FTB (For-the-Board).

Section 19 - Rating in the Examination
In order to pass the examination, a candidate must obtain a general average of at least seventyfive percent (75%) in the written test, with no rating below fifty percent (50%) in any of the
major subjects. Provided, that the candidate has not failed in at least sixty percent (60%) of the
subjects computed according to their relative weights.
No further examinations, unless and until he/she shall have completed twelve (12) months
refresher course in an accredited laboratory.
Graduate of Paramedical profession other than Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology /
Bachelor of Science in Hygiene admitted to an examination under the provisions of this Act (RA
5527) shall not be given further examinations after the provisions of this Act shall be given
further examinations after his failure to qualify for the third time.

FOR REPEATERS:
For-the-Board (FTB) - After three (3) failures, to submit Certificate of REFRESHER Course / Post
Grad Training in accredited school / Laboratory.

a. A holder of the degree of Doctor of Medicine or its equivalent;
b. Must have completed a calendar year of technical training known as internship the nature of
which shall be prescribed by the Board of Medical Education undertaken in hospitals and health
centers approved by the Board.

b. Applicant below twenty-one (21) may be allowed to take the examination but he/she shall
not be registered until he/she reaches the age of twenty-one (21);
c. Bachelor of Science in Metallurgical Engineering or Metallurgy or its equivalent, the course for
which covers not less than the total number of credit units equivalent to the regular course in
Metallurgical Engineering;
d. Bachelor of Science in Mining Engineering or Chemical Engineering and in addition has had at
least five (5) years experience in any or all of Metallurgical Engineering practice (P.D. 1536, Sec.
12). (For-the-Board);
e. Bachelor of Science in any other Engineering disciplines with at least ten (10) years experience
in any or all of the Metallurgy or Metallurgical Engineering practice (P.D. 1536, Sec. 12):
Provided, that the said experience is certified by the applicants employer. (For-the-Board)

examination.

the Director/Chief of Hospital or the Municipal Health Officer prior to his/her exposure to the
concerned health facility.

under pain of legal sanction, vouches for the completion of all competencyrequirements of its graduates and therefore allowed to graduate.

QUALIFICATIONS:
a. PHYSICAL THERAPIST
* At least twenty-one (21) years old;
* Graduate with the degree of Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy;
* Completed at least ten (10) months of Internship in Physical Therapy in an adequate
Physical Therapy Department of a hospital or clinic as certified by the Department of
Health, or has at least ten (10) months Clinical Experience under the supervision of a
competent and duly Registered Occupational Therapist in an accredited hospital or
institution, as the case may be. Clinical experience shall include the effective treatment
of psychosocial and physical dysfunction of patients of wide age range and of both
sexes.
b. OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST
* At least twenty-one (21) years old;
* Graduate with the degree of Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy;
* Completed at least ten (10) months of Internship in Physical Therapy in an adequate
Physical Therapy Department of a hospital or clinic as certified by the Department of
Health, or has at least ten (10) months Clinical Experience under the supervision of a
competent and duly Registered Occupational Therapist in an accredited hospital or
institution, as the case may be. Clinical experience shall include the effective treatment
of psychosocial and physical dysfunction of patients of wide age range and of both
sexes.
NOTE: Republic Act No. 5680 - The Philippine Physical and Occupational Therapy Law
Section 17 - Ratings in the Examination
In order to pass the first examination, a candidate must obtain a general rating of not below
seventy-five percent (75%) in the written examination with no rating below sixty percent (60%).
Any applicant who failed in the first examination but obtained seventy-five percent (75%) in
each of at least five (5) of the subjects may be permitted to take a second examination within
one (1) year from the date of the first examination.
In order to pass in the second examination, the examinee must obtain a rating not below
seventy-five percent (75%) in each of the subjects repeated.
An applicant who failed in the set of subjects repeated on the second examination must take a
re-examination in all the subjects within one (1) year from the date of the second examination.
If the applicant still fails in the third re-examination, the applicant shall be required to undertake
a prescribed course of study (REFRESHER COURSE) and to show proof of the completion of such
course before he/she will be admitted to the fourth examination.

An examinee who obtains a weighted general average of seventy-five percent (75%) or higher
but obtains a rating below sixty percent (60%) in any given subject may retake such subjects
within the next two (2) years, and upon obtaining a rating of at least seventy-five percent (75%)
in each such subject, shall then be deemed to have passed the licensure examination.

In order that a candidate may be deemed to have successfully passed the examination, he/she
must have obtained an average of at least seventy-five percent (75%) in all subjects, with no
rating below fifty percent (50%) in any subject.

Article III, Section 17 - Ratings in the Examination
In order to pass the examination, a candidate must obtain a weighted average of at least
seventy-five percent (75%) with no rating below sixty percent (60%) in any subject.
A candidate who obtains an average rating of seventy-five (75%) or higher but gets a rating
below sixty percent (60%) in any subject shall be allowed to take a RE-EXAMINATION in only
those subjects in which he/she obtained a rating below sixty percent (60%).
If the applicant fails to obtain seventy-five percent (75%) in the reported subject or subjects,
his/her examination shall be considered failed, and he/she is required to take all the subjects in
the next examination.
