Its a web application to sell Auto Insurance policies online through web to the direct
consumers. It is the most important web site of Travelers E-Commerce division. In
next version of application it is planning to introduce feature to sell policies for Home,
Renters & umbrella & support cross-sell of policies.
It uses Velocity Templates to generate HTML for Presentation layer, JQuery, CSS3 for
rich graphical effects (RIA), spring MVC module to leverage MVC architecture, Spring
JDBC for middle tier services, Spring AOP for performance monitoring and exception
handling.
It interacts with 3rd party web services to gather information about the customer. E.g.
talks to Acxiom for vehicles information, talks to 3rd party web service for address
scrubbing, talk to ChoicePoint for credit history report and DMV reports.
It also interacts with other web service modules like CPS (Coverage Package Service),
Gateway service, User Registration, Re-contact, Symbols Service, Risk Adviser etc to
support the application.

PDM is an intranet website made available to Marsh users to maintain Policy lifecycle.
Policy Data Management provides the users the ability to enter the policy information.
This application acts as central repository for policies. It integrates with Marsh
Connect & Doc Engine to generate certificates.
Document Engine provides a web-enabled solution that allows Marsh Core Services to
efficiently handle core services document processing to better serve the clients.
Document Engine interacts with MINA (for client information), PDM (for policy and
carrier information).

Client: Marsh & McLennan Group of Companies (MMC) US branch.

Clients and interested parties are able to access their records via an extranet website
