Using the new cost of Equity as obtained, we calculated

Previously in the WACC it was observed to be 13.22 for BAJAJ AUTO, it was assumed that if BAJAJ AUTO
starts manufacturing four-wheelers too, then the new WACC came out to be 13.74, so it can be observed that
the WACC of the project has increased and hence the riskiness of the company overall. So if BAJAJ AUTO
starts manufacturing four-wheelers then the overall risk of the company increases too. Also, it can be observed
that the relationship between ROA of BAJAJ and Average ROA of the market of Expected project to be taken
13.74% is the appropriate discount rate which is to be used for the cashflows of the new project which has been
undertaken in this case with new risk calculated in the form of beta = 0.68, using the sample of
four-wheeler companies like Maruti Suzuki, TATA motors and Mahindra & Mahindra to calculate the overall risk
asscociated with BAJAJ AUTO if it takes up the new project of four-wheeler.
