TITLE: RR110 DEMO INTERIOR OF BUILDING


ATTACHMENTS: Location Map, Drawing for Electrical
SCOPE OF WORK:
The contractor shall provide all material, labor, equipment and supervision required to
accomplish the following:
General Description
The responsibility of the contractor is to perform the following repairs listed below in the
detailed requirements and specifications on building RR110. RR110 is a 572 square foot
storage building located off Rifle Range rd at Stone Bay. (See attached location map).
The Project Manager is Chris Sanderson at 910-545-9256. The point of contact for access
and scheduling for the building is Jim Moland at (910)358-0793

DETAILED REQUIREMENTS AND SPECIFICATIONS
1.) Halon Fire suppression System
a. Demo
i. Verify that all the alarms and power to the system have been
disconnected before removal of compressed gas cylinders.
ii. Remove all pipes, fittings, and support brackets.
iii. Remove all compressed gas N.O.S (Mixture Carbon Dioxide, Argon,
Nitrogen, Compressed) - UN1956 cylinders and support brackets.
iv. Remove all placards associated with system.
v. Remove all hangers, straps and rods

vi. Contractor is responsible for hauling and disposing of all materials and
debris from job site.

2.) Electrical
a. Demolition
i. Remove all interior and exterior electrical and low voltage equipment
to include panel boards, disconnects, wire, receptacles, conduit,
hangers, lighting fixtures, overhead electrical and data drops in its
entirety. Leave CT cabinet and meter on exterior of building. Leave
underground conduit from CT cabinet to interior and to service pole
for reuse.

ii. Demo 500 MCM conductors back to mechanical connections in CT


Cabinet. Disconnection of the wiring at the transformer shall be
performed by the government.
IT IS THE CONTRACTORS RESPONSIBILITY TO COORDINATE
THIS WORK WITH THE PROJECT MANAGER.

iii. Cut off all unused interior conduit floor penetrations not to be used,
level with floor and seal.

b. Construction
i. Install one interior Square D panel board, 100 amp, min space 14,
three phase 120/208Y volt, 4W with MB or equal, with four #1 AWG
conductors one #6 AWG conductor approximately 15ft from the new
panel to the Existing CT cabinet complete and connect to existing 500
MCM With gutter taps. Connection to the transformer shall be
performed by the government. IT IS THE CONTRACTORS
RESPONSIBILITY TO COORDINATE THIS WORK WITH THE
PROJECT MANAGER. See Sketch E-1 for location.

ii. Install 4ea 2 tube T8 fluorescent light fixtures, Lithonia Fixture,


Industrial, 60w - L232120GEB10ISCS1HC or equal. Hang from
ceiling at approximately 96 inches AFF. Locate switch at entrance,
circuit complete with 3 #12 THHN/THWN solid copper conductors
with approximately 30 feet of surface mounted 1/2 inch EMT conduit
from panel 120 V switch shall be 20 amp, ivory in color, commercial
grade. See Sketch E-1 for location.
iii. Install one 120 volt, 42 watt compact fluorescent wall pack with unit
mounted photocell, LUMAPRO model 4GWG5 or equal, on exterior
at entrance to RR125 circuit complete with 3 #12 THHN/THWN solid
copper conductors with approximately 20 feet of surface mounted 1/2
inch EMT conduit from panel. See Sketch E-1 for location.
iv. Install one dedicated 120 volt, 20A, receptacle circuits complete with 3
#12 THHN/THWN solid copper conductor with approximately 5 feet
of surface mounted 1/2 inch EMT conduit from panel A Install 4 x 4
box at 46 AFF with raised cover next to panel A. 120 volt receptacle
shall be 20 amp, ivory in color, commercial grade. See Sketch E-1 for
location.
v. Specifications
1. Where conduit and wiring has not been shown on the drawings,
the arrangement and routing of the branch circuits will be at the
contractors discretion in accordance with generally accepted
good practice for commercial work and NEC requirements.
2. All conductors shall be copper. Insulation shall be 600-volt,
type THHN/THWN.
3. Equipment, materials, installation, and workmanship shall be in
accordance with the mandatory and advisory provisions of
NFPA 70.
4. Install all equipment and devices per the manufacturers
instructions.
5. Update the panel directories in the affected panels to reflect all
changes.
6. Label all new equipment with panel and circuit number.
7. Follow all applicable Unified Facility Criteria, IBC, NFPA,
IEEE, local, state and national codes & standards.

8. The contractor shall refer to the written scope of work and the
drawings to ensure the entire scope of work is accomplished.

10. Cap and seal all conduit below grade


11. Level ground, grade, and reseed.

drawings to ensure the entire scope of work is accomplished.
3.) HVAC
a. Demo
i. Remove 2 inside air handlers units.
1. Remove all wiring and components from 2 air handler units
back to main power panel.
2. Remove alarm control panel and all components mounted on
wall to the left of the air handler units.

ii. Remove 2 condenser units and all components outside of building.


1. Remove copper line sets from both condensers to inside of
building.
2. Remove 2 outside disconnects for condensers and all wiring
and conduit from condensers to disconnect.
3. Remove all wiring, conduit, and components from disconnect
back to main panel inside building.

Demo concrete condenser pads, level ground, and reseed areas.


Repair all wall penetrations to provide a smooth solid surface.

4.) Structural
a. Paint / Wall Surface Repair
i. Paint all interior wall surfaces and previously painted surfaces in
building.
ii. Repair all cracks, holes, and damaged surfaces to provide a smooth/
solid foundation for painting. Clean and treat mold and mildew areas
for finish coating application.
iii. Apply interior / exterior finish surfacing compound as appropriate to
any damaged surfaces to match surrounding finishes.
iv. All finish colors shall match as close as possible the existing colors
unless otherwise noted in the project description section.
v. Interior masonry surfaces shall have (2) coats of Loxon masonry
coating or equivalent applied unless otherwise noted in the project
description section.
vi. Cover all furniture, possessions, and building components as required
to protecting them from damage during accomplishment of interior
painting.
vii. Remove and reinstall all electrical switch and receptacle covers, to
insure all previously painted surfaces are repainted.
viii. Clean all over-spray, drips, splatters and spills resulting from
accomplishing this project from all surfaces as appropriate.
5.) General Note
The contractor shall field verify all quantities, measurements,
dimensions and types of material for submission of his quote. Data
provided in this scope is for reference only, however the specified
material shall be used when it meets the applicable requirements.
SPECIAL SCHEDULING AND ACCESS:
1.Contact POC prior to beginning work. A minimum two week notice is
required.

2.POC for this project will be Jim Moland at 910-358-0793


3.The contractor shall contact Jim Sides Director of Utilities at 910-4515024 for scheduling of disconnection and reconnection of power.
SPECIAL CONDITIONS: The base landfill can be utilized for disposal of all unwanted
materials.
