Unborn Children (White Flower appeal).

DECEASED Please pray for Val Corcoran RIP who died last week, his body will be received into
Our Lady of Peace Church on Wednesday, 21st January at 4.00pm, and his Requiem Mass will
be on Thursday, 22nd January at 11.00am, followed by burial at Slough Cemetery. Also please
pray for Terence Jemmett who died last week, no funeral details are available at time of printing.
May their souls and the souls of all the faithful departed rest in peace. Amen.
CONGRATULATIONS to Jennina Reyes who was Baptised on Saturday, 10th January.
Please pray for her parents, Godparents and Grandparents.
WE WELCOME the children from Class 5SE and 5SN, Our Lady of Peace Junior School, to the
9.30am Mass on Tuesday.

MASS CHANGE There will be no 9.30am Mass on Friday morning, Mass will be at 7.30pm at St
Gilberts.

CHURCH LINEN Many thanks to all who have helped with the Church linen over the last few
months. There is an urgent need for help with the laundering of the small Church linen, if you
would like to help with this Ministry please speak to Denise the Sacristan.

THE SLOUGH WINTER NIGHT SHELTER PROJECT has started and will extend for 12 weeks
to the end of March. The purpose of the project is to provide food, shelter and companionship to
the homeless of Slough. Churches and Church halls in and around Slough provide the venues
for the Shelter with a different location being used every night of the week. We are always
looking for new volunteers. If you are over 18 and feel you could help with any of the following
then please register your interest by emailing admin@sloughnightshelter.org or call John Power
on 07837333986.

Volunteers to help set up the venues, meet and greet, serve food and act as
companions for our guests. Time from 7.00pm to 10.00pm .
Volunteers to stay overnight with the night porter and help serve breakfast in the
morning. Time from 10.00pm to 7.00am.
Volunteer drivers to drive a minibus from central Slough to the venue in the evening.
Time from 7.00pm to 8.00pm
Volunteer drivers to take and minibus from the venue to central Slough and back in the
morning. Time from 6.30 am to 7.30am

There is no minimum commitment. If you can commit to one shift that will be a huge help. We

APF/MH RED BOXES HOLDERS On behalf of MISSIO, many thanks for your continued
generosity in 2014 when 1,212.56 of cleared funds were sent by 31st December. 2015 boxes

ADORATION OF THE BLESSED SACRAMENT every Monday at Our Lady of Peace from
7.00pm to 8.00pm. All welcome to join in Contemplating the Face of Christ through prayer,
praise and stillness. There is also Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament with Worship, Scripture,
Silence and Divine Mercy Prayer at St Andrews every Thursday from 8.30am 9.30am. All
welcome.

ST VINCENT DE PAUL District meeting at Holy Family Church, Langley on Tuesday, 13th
January starting at 7.00pm.
CIPPENHAM SHARED CHURCH TRUST Meeting for all Trustees on Tuesday, 13th January at
7.30pm in St Andrew's.
CHURCH CLEANING will be on Saturday, 17th January at 9.00am. Please try and spare an
hour to help.
BISHOP PETER invites the Diocese to the Cathedral on Wednesday, 21st January at 7.30pm for
a Service to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Vatican II's Decree on Ecumenism; also invited
are any Ecumenical friends you may have. Archbishop Longley will be preaching, and there will
be guests from other Christian Churches present in our Diocese
FIRST HOLY COMMUNION CLASSES The next session is on
Saturday, 24th January from 9.30am 11.00am at St Andrews
Church, Cippenham. Please continue to pray for our children so
that they will grow in their appreciation of the sacraments of
Confession and Holy Communion.
WEEK OF PRAYER FOR CHRISTIAN UNITY begins on Monday, 19th January. There will be
an Ecumenical service, arranged by Burnham Churches Together, at Our Lady of Peace Church
on Sunday, 25th January at 3.00pm, followed by refreshments.
LUX ADORE YOUTH WEEKEND RUN BY NYMO This is the next LUX session, (suitable for
school year 7 onwards), from February 6th 8th 2015 at Kings Park Conference Centre,
Northampton, If you have received an invitation to register for this and you would like to go, then
please be aware that the deadline for registration is 16th January 2015, places are going fast, so
please act NOW or you will be disappointed. There are bursarys available if funding is a
problem. All the details are on the NYMO website at www.nymo.org, or phone Fiona Murphy on
01582 720627. Alternatively, contact Bob Bryant on 01628 543650 or email:
bob@quicklinkcouriers.co.uk If you do register, or have already registered, could you please let
