Counselling Pakistan:

Counselling Pakistan is a project that aims to guide Pakistani students in search for a university that best
suits them, both locally and internationally. Due to a lack of productive counseling and poor guidance,
almost 50% of Pakistani students do not enroll in the universities of their choices. The project is designed
to be a non-profit entity where students all over Pakistan can approach Counselling Pakistan through an
extensive online and social media presence and can seek guidance regarding potential universities to
research and apply to, which geographical regions they are suited to, and what social, extracurricular and
academic areas to focus on to gain acceptance in their dream school.

Our team will consist of expert members with wide array of expertise in University admissions across
different regions of the globe. The team will also consist of senior consultants who are professional
counselors with years of experience in the field. These include either counselors of A-Level Colleges (Nixor,
Lyceum, Southshore, KGS etc) or private organizations. These consultants will be divided to specialize on
certain regions and the requirements of those regions.

The primary medium of communication will be a highly interactive website aimed to be a platform for
active engagement and real time advice. Once a student identifies a region or preference, their concerns or
queries will be directed towards the senior consultant of the region who would then help the student on a
personal basis. The key element is the one-on-one counseling, which would seek to maximize each
students potential.

Our goal is to cater to almost all regions that students apply to. As a pilot project and to kick start this
initiative, the plan is to start with two regions that most Pakistani students strive for: UK and Canada. As
the project progresses, Malaysia, Singapore, Turkey, and the Middle-East will be added before launching
the into the USA and other popular university destinations globally.

What is the DashBoard?

The DashBoard is a highly interactive and personal platform especially designed to cater to each applicants
varying counselling needs. When you think of The DashBoard, think of The CommonApp, think of the UCAS
and all other online university application systems. The only difference is The DashBoard is a pre-
application system, equipped with Counselling Pakistans extensive resources and expert consultants.

How does it work?

Each of our applicants will have a unique account and secure ID where they will be able to manage
counselling and advice according to each separate university application.
On this account, applicants will have direct communication with their region specific consultant, a
database of all their university documents (e.g. essays, forms etc.) and a tracker to check
application status.
Once they login to the DashBoard, they will fill out a query form detailing their qualifications,
background, university and region preferences.
According to this data, they will then be directed to their designated regional consultants who will
then be in constant communication with them over their DashBoard inbox.
This inbox can be used to shoot any and every query they might have and our consultants will
answer to the best of their knowledge.
The DashBoard offers our applicants to build their application portfolio online which contains their
colleges list and documents.
Applicants can maintain a checklist, edit and download documents and get them verified by their
personal consultant.

What does The DashBoard cost them?

Zero. Yes thats right, its completely free. Counselling Pakistan bears the cost of all its services and we
are constantly on our feet to keep it that way.

Services:

Our senior consultants will work with the student to:
Discussing with the student about his or her dream school and aspiration. Identify the students
regional preferences according to academic level, financial expectations, and personal and
professional desires
Identify the top 10-15 universities (Wish-List, Achievable, and Backup) and design a plan for the
respective student to achieve their target
Counsel the student regarding which areas he needs to work on to reach those target universities
Provides detailed list of visa/immigration process for all the students applying for visa once theyre
admitted into the university.
Helping the students with to understand the financial requirements of the university as well as how
to apply for financial aid packages across the universities of their preference.
Helping the student identify appropriate study material and tuition groups for admission test
preparations (i.e SATs, IELTS, BMAT, UKCAT, etc).
Maintain an active mentorship network of Pakistani students across all our target Universities for
on ground help and assistance.


Long term-Objective:

Partnering with universities across the globe to arrange scholarships for students in Pakistan.
Counseling Pakistan University Database Project: This is a plan to have a individuals in a specific
university (for e.g. University of Toronto) who will have vast amounts of information about their
respective university in regards to admission procedures, tests and academic requirements, visa
application process, residence choices, etc. Whenever a student needs help in a specific university
regarding the courses or the processes in admission, the process can be directed to the student of
the university who can then help them on a one-to-one basis.
