Education/Professional
Experience

BSc in Civil Engineering

Certified Quality Professional (CQP), with Lead Auditor qualifications.

Years of experience

10 years of experience in QA/QC management for major highway projects.

Terms of Reference

Responsible for establishing, the Project Quality Plan and procedures, the audit
schedule to monitor internal QMS, identifying non-compliances and corrective
actions, organizing management reviews, as well as auditing, reviewing and
overseeing the Contractors QMS.

Working Hours

The post is a site position, based on a 6 day working week (Saturday to

Thursday) and 8 hour working day.

Duties & Responsibilities

The Quality Assurance / Quality Control Manager is responsible for the

implementation and monitoring of both the Egis International and Expressway
project quality management systems. He is specifically tasked with the ensuring
that the following requirements are met:

Preparation, monitoring and updating of the Project Quality Plan.

Preparation, monitoring and updating of the Supervising Consultants project

specific QA / QC Plan and procedures.

The creation and maintenance of the project document control system.

Putting in place and monitoring the system for the organisation and
recording of testing, including witnessing and verification of the Contractors
work and materials.

Putting in place and monitoring the Key Performance Indicators and Non
Conformance Report systems for the project.

Inputting to the Supervising Consultants reports with regard to quality

issues.

Reviewing the Contractors Quality Plan, procedures and quality related

documentation.

The on-going oversight and auditing of the Contractors quality systems

(including operations by sub-contractors).

Organising necessary training for the Supervising Consultants staff with

respect to quality issues.

Preparing and implementing the project Audit Plan.

Making recommendations for corrective actions and lessons learnt.

Previous experience in the Middle East would be an advantage

Languages

Fluent spoken and written English.

A working knowledge of Arabic would be an advantage.

Visa Requirements

It is presently problematic to obtain Qataris visas for Syrian and Jordanian

citizens.
