Rocailles Toho 11/0 Higher Metallic Dragonfly ( A )
Rocailles Toho 15/0 col. Iris Blue ( B )
Rocailles Miyuki 11/0 Duracoat Galvanized Dark Coral ( C )
4 Agate faceted rounded stones 8mm col. Dark pink ( P )
16 fire polished glass beads Matte Metallic Gold 4mm ( Q )
2 decorated copper earwire 24mm (watch fig. 11 on last page)
High Quality nylon thread 0,14

Techniques
Knowledge required:
Square stitch (sst)
Brick stitch (bst)
Jeans Flower earrings are formed of two parts: a square stitched rounded stone and a
flower. These two parts will be assembled togheter and joined with the earwire.

Step 1: making the bezel

String 22 A and close to form a


ring: the thread will exit from the
bead marked by the blue arrow.
String the stone (P) following the
path (first the black one and
then the red one) as shown in
fig. 1

Work a sst round with A on each bead
of the ring*** and another one with B
on each bead of previous round.
Go with the thread to the opposite side
of the stone and work a sst round with
B.
The bezel stone will look like that in the
fig. 2, in which you can also see were
the thread exits.

Now lets make a little ring with


B for joining the earring with the
earwire.
Pass the thread through the two
rounds of A and string 12 B,
pass again through the previous
path (follow the red path) as
shown in the fig.3. Close the
work.

Step 2: the flower

Lets begin proceeding as the step 1 but using C instead of A


and stopping at the point marked by the asterisks ***
Now well work a round in bs: first of all we have to make a
support of thread on which to work. HowTo: look at the fig. 5

Make other 7 petals ( fig.10).


Completed the 8th petal, exit
the thread from the third bead
of the first petal as shown in the
figure.
Now we can assemble our
earring.

Step 3: assembling
Pass the earwire through
this ring of beads

Join the bezel with the flower.


Exit the thread from the bead marked of X,
string 3A e pass the thread through the
two rows of A of the bezel* (fig. 11); exit
the thread and string again 3A, then pass
through the bead marked of Y. Continue to
follow the black path.
Close the work.
