MUNICIPAL RESOLUTION NO. 015-2014

AUTHORIZING THE LOCAL GOVERNMENT UNIT OF GUINOBATAN TO OPEN A DBP
CURRENT ACCOUNT FOR THE KALAHI-CIDSS PROJECT WITH THE ACCOUNT NAME OF
PGA-LGU GUINOBATAN NCDD PROJECT FUND.

WHEREAS,
the Kapit-Bisig Laban sa Kahirapan Comprehensive Integrated Delivery
of Social Service (KALAHI-CIDSS) is a community-driven development project implemented by the
Department of Social Welfare and Development. Under this project, communities and local
governments are trained to choose, design and implement sub-projects that address their most
pressing need;
WHEREAS,
the KALAHI-CIDSS, as one of the poverty alleviation programs of the
Philippine Government, is deemed by this august body to be both necessary and beneficial to
reduce poverty and improve the quality of life of the constituents of this local government
considering that the project would be concentrating on community-identified needs. The Local
Government of Guinobatan is, therefore, fortunate enough to become a pilot municipality in the
Province of Albay in the implementation of this project. It is in this wise that this august body shall
support this project and do whatever is necessary for it to be fully and effectively implemented;
WHEREAS,
a community project account of this local government where funds for the
community projects shall be released is directly necessary for the full implementation of the
identified projects and to attain a better future for our residents and the municipality. For this
purpose, this august body wholly supports the Local Government of Guinobatan in opening a
current account with the Development Bank of the Philippines, one of the countrys progressive
banking institution, under the account name PGA-LGU Guinobatan NCDD Project Fund;
WHEREFORE, in view of the foregoing premises, be it now:

RESOLVED, as it is hereby resolved by the Sangguniang Bayan of Guinobatan, Albay in

session assembled, to authorize as it hereby authorizes the Local Government Unit of Guinobatan
to open a DBP Current Account for the KALAHI-CIDSS Project with the Account Name of PGALGU Guinobatan NCDD Project Fund.
RESOLVED FURTHER, that the signatories for this account shall be the Municipal Mayor
and the Municipal Treasurer of the Municipal Government of Guinobatan, Albay.
RESOLVED LASTLY, that a copy of this resolution be furnished the Office of the Municipal
Mayor, and such other concerned offices/agencies, for their information and appropriate action.
APPROVED UNANIMOUSLY on motion of Honorable Councilor Ricky S. Matza and duly
seconded by the members present this 10 th day of February, 2014 during their 6th Regular Session.
