Take Heart

http://guitarpraise.blogspot.com/2011/04/take-heart.html
For the verse I find that using fingers works better than a pick, as the notes are more
mellow and soft, compared to when you use a pick. It's mostly just playing up and down
the chords.
In terms of effects for the verse, I have no distortion/overdrive (maybe a little clean boost,
but thats it). I prefer to have the delay turned off but if you'd like to use a delay, make
sure it's soft.
In this video I had the reverb on my amp turned right up, and it sounds a lot nicer with
the reverb, but it doesn't come through in the video as the recording goes straight from
the effects board into the computer.

Instrumental (same as intro)
Interlude (2 Parts)
The interlude and first bridge are just the same chords over and over (G#m, E,
B, F#). There are two guitar parts. Still no overdive/distortion or delay, just
lots of reverb on both guitars
In this, guitar 1 just holds the B (G string, 4th fret) until the drums kick in:
Guitar 1 (Repeats this line)

Guitar 2 plays a B chord until the drums kick in:

Bridge 2:
This is where they build up again. It actually repeats the first two bridge
parts again (All our troubles, all our fears). For this part. Guitar 1 remains
unchanged on the album, but I like to throw a little something in. Guitar 2
changes as the chords for this part change (B///|//C#m/|E///|//F#/|////|
G#m///|////|)
Guitar 1: On the recording they keep doing the same thing, but I like to put on
a little crunch, move it up an octave. (See the video)

Guitar 2: This is what guitar two starts playing (Same effects as the first
bridge)

Final Instrumental:
To finish it off you either have the options of playing the chords
B///|//C#m/|E///|//F#/|////|G#m///|////|
But again, I like to throw a little something in on the end. I throw on a delay
(dotted eighth) and some heavier distortion and play this:
e----------------------------------------------------------------------|
B---7s12---12---12---12---11-11---11s12---12---12---12----14-14--------|
G----------------------------------------------------------------------|

G--------------18----------18--18--18----------20----20---20--20-------|
D----------------------------------------------------------------------|

Hope this helps you play this amazing song (My personal favourite off this
album).
