JOB DESCRIPTION, MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITY:

To coordinate all operators to monitor, control and operate Coal Tar Distillation Plant with
designated feed Streams at optimum capacities in a safe and efficient manner ensuring
uninterrupted operation to produce on specification products by operating the process
controls at central control room panels / DCS and field area, in compliance with company
and HSE standards, policies and procedures.
Responsible to control and check all activities of operator and ensuring it have to be done
good.
Responsible for the entire field operations of all equipment in my assigned area, consist of the

following items : Distillation Tower, Pumps, Vessel, Valve, HTO Boiler, Compressor,
Cooling Tower, Heat Exchanger, etc.
To control all parameter of process condition for normal operation at Central Control Room
Panels/ DCS and field area.
Checking and finding abnormal condition and take action in any trouble at early stage.
Responsible for monitoring and ensuring the efficient operation of all the equipment in my
area, handing over to the incoming shift in a systematic and orderly manner.
Regularly patrol to ensure all of equipment in my area is performing in the designed, safe
manner and that standby spare equipment is available for immediate use if required.
Maintaining accurate and timely log data of equipments closely follow their performance and
raise timely work orders for correction when required.
Responsible to make a report for maintenance staff to check and repair any field equipment
abnormalities.
Responsible to prepare and check safety treatment of equipment in a safe manner before hand
over the equipment to maintenance staff for repair and take back in service after checks.
Responsible to prepare and check safety treatment release of equipment before test run.
Responsible to prepare and check start-up, shut-down, emergency shut down of Coal Tar
Distillation Plant in a safe and efficient manner, in compliance with procedures.
To maintain effective communication with all operator and supervisory staff to ensure that
accurate condition of field equipment is passed on and operation of plant is in stable
operation.
Responsible to check and monitor the operator to use correct chemical and other consumables
in an optimal manner to ensure cost saving.
Responsible to check reporting data from all operators and making Assistant supervisor report
that have to be reported on every shift over meeting.
Good computer skills and proficiency with DCS automated operation.
