Blood diseases.
a.
Anemia.
Cause: lack of the substance necessary for the production of red corpuscles.
Treatment: iron-rich diet and intake of Vit. B-12.
b.
Leukemia. This is also known as the cancer of the blood.
Cause: overproduction of white corpuscles.
Treatment: radiation, chemotherapy + blood transfusion
c.
Hemophilia. This disease, known as the bleeder's disease, is hereditary.
Cause: failure of the blood to clot when a blood vessel is cut or injured.
Treatment: Vitamin K
d.
Gangrene. It is the death of tissues, usually in the arm and leg.
Cause: lack of blood flowing to the affected tissues.
Prevention: Allow the free flow of blood to the affected area.
Diseases of the heart.
a.
Hypertension or high blood pressure: one of the top killers of our time.
Causes: anxiety, anger, overeating, drugs, excessive stimulants, etc.
Prevention: maintain normal weight, avoid too much protein, sweets, salt, fatty foods, and
stimulants. Have a good rest.
Treatment: drugs prescribed only by doctors.

Coronary thrombosis: commonly known as heart attack.
Cause: clot in the coronary artery.
Symptoms: difficulty in breathing, weakening, vomiting.
First aid treatment: Let the victim recline with his head and shoulders slightly elevated.
Loosen his clothes. Let him breath fresh air. Do not allow him to move even a finger. Then
call a doctor. If the patient's heart stops, or if he's not breathing, immediately apply CPR.
c.
Stroke.
Cause: lack of blood supply to certain parts of the brain.
Symptoms: unconsciousness, vomiting, paralyses of the muscles on one side of the face or
the body.
First aid: Keep the patient at complete bed rest, with head and shoulder slightly raised.
Apply ice bag on forehead and face. Call a doctor.
