Anuban Weekly Outline

Healthy Me

This week we are learning:

Circle Time Review
In circle time this week we will review all of
the food vocabulary that the students
studied last semester so that they are able
to use it with the activity topic, Healthy Me.
We can use Bowling, the Slaps Game and
the Corners Game with flashcards to check
recognition, and compare the difference
between Thai and Western foods, how
healthy they are, and what food groups they
contain.

Activity Time
Healthy me worksheets identifying which foods are healthy and unhealthy from
pictures and words.
Organising foodstuffs into their groups fats, sugars, carbohydrates, protein etc.
Planning a healthy schedule and doing examples of exercise (star jumps,
jogging, sports etc)
Making healthy and unhealthy menus and pictures of foods.
This week the students will begin studying how to eat and live healthily, and how
to classify different kinds of foods depending on what they do to/for our bodies. I
will teach the students about how to eat a balanced diet and the reasons why
they should/should not eat certain things. This week will be shortened by the
Scholarship Exam (both English and Thai) but we will get as much introductory
work done as possible, so that we can do more craft and project activities next
week.

Grammar
This week in grammar we are going
to review plurals which was covered
last week. We are going to continue
to focus on plurals, this week we will
learn that sometimes when a noun
ends with y we change it to ies and
when a word ends with f or fe we
change them to ves. We will do lots
of demonstrations and examples on
the board and play some games until
the class understands the concepts at
hand. We will then do an exercise in
the P1 Prep book where the students
will have to change singular words
ending with y, f or fe into plural
forms. When this is complete we will
briefly look at irregular words that
change completely when we make
them plural.

Healthy and unhealthy explain the difference.

Food groups, food pyramids.
Fruits, vegetables, meat, milk, grains.
Grow, strong, bones, exercise.
Eat, drink, meal, snack.

Science

This week we will review how

we can classify animals into
groups in terms of where they
live, how they move and which
body parts they have. We are
then gong to focus upon human
body parts. We will learn the
different parts and do some
exercises that involve matching
the correct word to the picture,
labelling pictures and drawing
body parts. We are then going
to do an activity where the
students work in pairs and will

Websites / Homework:
It would be a great help if parents
can continue this topic at home
over breakfast and dinner
teaching the students about the
different foods that they are
eating. You can also check out
