THIS IS TO CERTIFY THAT WE, the undersigned Ship and Marine Surveyors, at the request of M/s
GAC Shipping (India) Pvt Ltd, with the consent of the Master, boarded the steel built, single
screw, motor, bulk vessel MV.Spar Virgo on 05th December, 2014 at 0900 Hrs (LT) as she lay

GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF VESSEL

The vessel is a single screw all welded Panamax type bulk carrier, having five holds / five
hatches with Four Cargo Cranes SWL 30MT. The vessel has a forecastle deck & and aft
accommodation.

Each Hold is covered with folding type hatch cover and hydraulically operated for opening
and closing.

The vessel is fitted with a six cylinder main engine and three independent generators

BACKGROUND OF PREVIOUS VOYAGE/S

As per Chief Officer, the vessel carried Coal in bulk from Indonesia, to be discharged at
Krishnapatnam.

DATE AND TIME OF DELIVERY/RE-DELIVERY

The vessel was re-delivered to the Owners M/s Spar Shipping AS by Charterers M/S Cargill
Ocean Transportation Pte Ltd on 10th November 2014 at 1700 Hrs (LT) upon DLOSP at
Krishnapatnam.

The survey was carried out in conjunction with Ships Personnel.

FORECASTLE

The forecastle deck was found apparently in satisfactory condition, and well painted. The
roller fairleads checked randomly was found to be moving freely. The windlass was
reportedly said to be in satisfactory working condition.
Vessel was made fast to the jetty port side a/side , mooring configuration 4 + 2 (4 Head
Lines + 2 Spring Lines)

HATCH COVER PANELS

Each hatch cover consists of two panels and is hydraulically operated; the covers were
operated in our presence and where found to be operating satisfactorily, with no undue signs
of anomalies or damage to the system.

The Rubber packing for the holds were found apparently in satisfactory condition along with
hatch cover securing fittings. Structurally the covers were found apparently in satisfactory
condition.

All hatch covers was observed to be well painted and maintained.

BILGE WELLS

All the bilge well were found apparently in satisfactory condition, strainer covers for the well
were sighted and in place. Reportedly the bilge pumping system is in good working
condition.

pilot ladders, light fittings, other associated fittings on main deck were found to be in good
order and well maintained condition.

INSPECTION OF CARGO HOLDS FOR CLEANLINESS

At the time of inspection, No.1, 2, 3, 4 & 5 Cargo holds were found with traces of previous
