EXISITING SYSTEM

Though the terms incident and accident are often used interchangeably in referring to
reporting procedures, a distinction should be made between the two words. An accident is an
unplanned event that results in injury, harm or damage. An incident is an event that had the
potential to cause injury, harm or damage. Incidents include accidents, as well as near misses and
dangerous

occurrences.

These

procedures

should

comply

with

applicable

federal,

provincial/territorial, and municipal regulations as well as the organizations internal incident.

Disadvantages

Not developing and maintaining documented procedures to define, record, analyze, and

learn from incidents involving infectious material or toxins.

A problem is an unknown, underlying cause of one or more incidents. A single problem
may generate several incidents.

PROPOSED SYSTEM
Incident investigation procedures should be reviewed and updated regularly to ensure
they are current and accurate. Prior to commencing an investigation, the personnel responsible
for this duty should be selected and identified. Depending on the nature and severity of the
incident, one individual may be assigned to conduct the investigation or a team may be
assembled for more complex scenarios. The investigator(s) should conduct the investigation with
an open mind and no pre-conceived notions or opinions regarding the incident. The investigation
process is systematic and generally includes the stages outlined below.
Advantages

Classification and initial support

Investigation and diagnosis
Resolution and recovery
Closure
Ownership, monitoring, tracking and communication

EXISITIG SYSTEM

The focus is on improving customer satisfaction through process efficiencies, reducing

operational costs and streamlining business processes through continuous improvement and
technology optimization. The solutions are geared to adapt quickly to the volatile and fiercely
competitive landscape. Some of WNS's major accomplishments have been in designing and
managing unique loyalty programs and automating critical processes by creating databases /
applications leading to sizeable cost reduction.
Disadvantages

This activity requires a precise definition of the problem in user terms.

A clear statement of the problem is crucial to the success of the software.

It helps not only the developers but also the user to understand the problem better.

Keeping recording for every transaction in the registers takes

More time & is a tedious job.

To search for details of any particulars has to refer many Registers.

Lacks reliability & no guarantee of sure end results.

Calculations are done manually which may lead to errors.

For all these reasons computerized system is the best solution.

PROPOSED SYSTEM
Airlines require an effective way to manage their contractual and commercial
relationships with customers from establishing accurate rates and delivering accurate bills on
landing. If the process is not performed with speed and accuracy, it can result in loss of revenue
due to under-billing and, more seriously, loss of clients, in case of over-billing. WNS provides its
clients reporting on over- and under-billing of cargo assignments using entralized rates and the
client's workflow management tool.

Advantages

It also helps the clients by offering alternate solutions such as different flight service or

acceptable freight rate.

Flight load plan is also prepared keeping the objective of maximum utilization of space

on a flight as the top-most priority.

It helps its clients by re-booking all offloaded consignments on the first available flights,

thereby meeting the recovery promised to the customers.

It also provides a real-time update on consignment status.

EXISITING SYSTEM

The reporting process is not a search to assign blame in an incident, but rather, it is a
search for the reasons and cause behind the incident. By working to understand how an incident
occurred, it allows for a learning environment and ultimately a safe environment both for
reporting and communication, as well as for flying. Consequently, to ensure safety is paramount
in all flight operations, no disciplinary actions will be taken unless it is a case of willful
negligence, criminal intent or includes the use of illicit substances. Utilize the drop box in the
front office to make reports anonymously if so desired.
Disadvantages

dispatching overloaded aircraft; and

failing to maintain operational control
poor communication between operational areas

PROPOSED SYSTEM
It is committed to continually improving safety and will accomplish this through the
implementation of a Safety Management System, as per the Aviation Regulations, that matches
the size and complexity of the flight training operation. From all levels of management down to
student pilots, safety is to be promoted as the primary concern in all activities surround flight
operations.
Advantages

It will be proactive in the identification of safety risks and the elimination of injury to

students and staff.

All information related to safety issues will be shared with all students and staff.
No disciplinary action will be taken against any staff member or students involved a
safety occurrence or incident, except where there is willful negligence, criminal intent, or
use of illicit substances.
