MUNICIPAL RESOLUTION NO. 103-2014

REQUESTING THE HON. GOVERNOR JOEY SARTE SALCEDA FOR FINANCIAL
ASSISTANCE TO COVER THE LGU COUNTERPART OF THE SLAUGHTERHOUSE PROJECT
AMOUNTING TO 5 MILLION PESOS.

WHEREAS,
in retrospect, this august body granted authority to the local chief
executive, as embodied in Municipal Resolution No. 098-2014, to enter into a Memorandum of
Agreement with the National Meat Inspection Service (NMIS) to for the implementation of the Meat
Establishment Improvement Program and allocating the counterpart funds thereof;
WHEREAS,
pursuant to said MOA, this LGUs counterpart for the full realization of said
project, amounts to Five Million Pesos (PhP5,000,000.00);
WHEREAS,
said program is aimed to rehabilitate and improve the existing
abattoir/slaughterhouse in the municipality and make its operation and maintenance viable in
compliance with national standard design, construction and installation of equipment, and as much
as this municipal government has the full intention of realizing the same, its financial resources
renders it incapacitated;
WHEREAS,
we had been in the past and until now a recipient of the generosity of the
Provincial Government of Albay through the able leadership of the Honorable Governor Joey Sarte
Salceda. We are also aware of the greater capacity of the province to seek the necessary funds for
this purpose, thus now humbly seeks the necessary assistance of the Provincial Government of
Albay through the honorable governor;
WHEREFORE, in view of the foregoing premises, be it now:

RESOLVED, as it is hereby resolved by the Sangguniang Bayan of Guinobatan, Albay

in session assembled, to request as it hereby requests the Hon. Governor Joey Sarte Salceda for
financial assistance to cover the LGU counterpart of the slaughterhouse project amounting to 5
Million Pesos.
RESOLVED FURTHER, that a copy of this resolution be furnished the Hon. Mayor Ann Y.
Ongjoco, the Honorable Governor Joey Sarte Salceda, and such other concerned offices or
agencies, for their information and appropriate action.
APPROVED UNANIMOUSLY, on motion of Honorable Councilor Ricky S. Matza and duly
seconded by the members present this 15 th day of September, 2014 during their 33 rd Regular
Session.
