Destiny is not a matter of chance, it is a matter of choice, it is not a thing to be waited for, it is a thing

to be achieved. William Jennings Bryan

Ever since my childhood I have been mesmerized by the science and the impact it has put on our
everyday life. The most significant aspect about science is that the more you explore its concealed
concepts, the more it broadens your mind. I was greatly influenced the way I could control my wireless
toys, and the way I could see fascinating scenes of the world while being not physically there. Pursuit of
knowledge has always been my top priority, and a major driving force behind all my achievements. My
tremendous academic scores at school level and my obsession for science rightly guided me to take up
science at the college level. It was a blessing in disguise for me that throughout my schooling and college
life the fire was kept alive, thanks to my teachers who did their level best to answer my perpetual
questions.
By the time I turned 18, I had already made up my mind to make every possible effort to be able to
secure a seat in communication engineering degree program in one of the most prestigious universities
in Pakistan. The entry into the engineering field for students in Pakistan has always been an uphill task,
so I had to face a competitive entry test first (A highly competitive national level entrance examination)
wherein only the top 4 to 5% of the 30 thousand students manage to get through successfully to be able
to secure their slot into any of the offered engineering disciplines. I didnt only manage to clear all the
competitive tests and fulfill academic requirements, but, in fact, was in a position to choose a major of
my own as well, in one of the best institutions in Pakistan.
As a natural consequence, I choose Telecommunications.
The undergraduate program offers training in basic sciences, engineering mathematics, computer
programming and languages (C++ and Matlab). Apart from these, I had an extensive exposure to
Electronics and Communication subjects such as Electronic circuits, Electronic devices, microprocessor,
analog Communication, digital Communication, digital signal processing (DSP), RF and microwave
communication, mobile and wireless communication, optical fiber communication, telecom switching
and antenna theory . I developed strong interest in Antenna theory in the final year of my engineering
course. Likewise, my final year project was also on antenna which was Internal antenna design for
mobile communication for 2G and 3G bands using dielectric resonator.
As far as my specific future plans regarding my graduate study are concerned, I am dearly looking
forward to being able to improve the efficiency and work performance of existing communication
systems and equipment. I want to work on smart antennas of future generation communication
network such as 3G and LTE networks. I want to work on antennas of BTS of these communication
networks so that we would exploit these networks in best possible ways and for this purpose I need to
work on adaptive beam forming of an antenna by which one can increase the capacity of network which
requires precise signal processing. I am really excited about your course such as Digital Signal
Processing and Mobile and Satellite Communications which will surely provide me platform in
achieving the milestone which I am looking for and I am sure this university and its professor and up to
date equipped laboratories will escort me in right way.
I would like to pursue my future career in this subject at your revered institution, which is renowned for
producing some of the best engineering minds in the communication field. I have always dreamt of
undertaking my postgraduate studies at an established university, which has been a benchmark for

excellence like yours. To support the above facts, I have an excellent feedback from my academic
counselors and seniors.
In return, I assure the university will find me a studious student, who would contribute to the
exceptional track record of your university. My admission to your university will prove to be a gateway
for my future career objectives. I am fairly confident that with my solid undergraduate academic track
record and my strong urge to pursue my graduate study, I would be able to perform to my best and
meet the high standards set forth by your university.
If given a chance, I am fairly certain that my latent will be reflected in my graduate study. I will try my
level best to be able to contribute significantly, so I can live up to the high standards of one of the most
prestigious engineering institutions of the world.
