Prerequisite: Math 308
Grading: Your grade will be determined by one midterm in class (25%), a
final exam (30%), and weekly quizzes (45%).
Grades will be assigned by point total intervals. Roughly 90%100%
= A, 80%89% = B, 70%79% = C, 60%69% = D, 0%59% = F.
Exams: The final exam is scheduled for Thursday, May 7, 35 pm. The
midterm is scheduled for Thursday, March 14.

Homework and Quizzes: See the homework sheet on my web page for
the problems you should work. The homework will not be collected,
but rather quizzes, primarily based on the homework assignments, will
be given on the due dates.
The total quiz grade will be the average of the individual quiz grades
after dropping the single lowest score. Normally, makeups for quizzes
will not be given, but with adequate verification of a University approved excuse (see below), then your grade for the missed quiz will be
the average of all your other quizzes. No calculators will be allowed on
the quizzes. Quizzes will be given every Thursday except except Jan.
22, Mar. 14, and April 30.
Makeups: Make-ups for exams will only be given with documented Universityapproved excuses (see University Regulations). Whenever possible, you
should inform me prior to missing an exam. Consistent with University
Student Rules, students are required to notify an instructor by the end
of the second working day after an absence. Otherwise, they forfeit
their rights to a make-up.
An Aggie does not lie, cheat, or steal or tolerate those who do. The

the Aggie Honor Code and the handling of such violations are discussed
at the web site http://www.tamu.edu/aggiehonor.

disabilities. If you believe you have a disability requiring an accomodation, please contact the Deparment of Student Life Services for
Students with Disabilities in room 118 of Cain Hall or call 845-1637.
