Paper.
Thank you again for all your support in helping us serve our brothers and sisters in need. All
donations can be placed in the bench in front of the giving tree in the vestibule of the church. Donations
are picked up on Monday mornings.
Formation in Faith Lecture Series - Bishop Richard Lennon, Bishop of Cleveland, will present two
lectures per month beginning in February at the Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist in Cleveland
immediately following the Noon Mass. The 2015 Cathedral lecture series will feature presentations on the
Right of Christian Initiation of Adults. The sessions for February are Wednesday the 11 and Tuesday the
24. All are welcomed to attend.
BOOKRACK NEWS: If you previously purchased My Daily Visitor, you have most likely noticed that
it is not on the bookrack. It is no longer being published. Therefore, The Word Among Us plus Catholic
Mass Supplements is offered in its stead. It is the most popular monthly Scripture magazine for
Catholics. Please try a copy. You may take the current issue for free.

held this Wednesday, January 28 at 6:00pm in the school cafeteria, dinner will be provided.
CATHOLIC CHARITIES ANNUAL APPEAL invites us to open our hearts to live joyfully and

BUILDING ON THE ROCK Attention High School Students, the new sessions have
begun, join us January 25, February 1, 8 & 15 in room #101 in the school at 9:15am.
Remember, friends are always welcome. Come and explore what it takes to build your
house of faith on the Rock Jesus Christ!
St. Augustine is holding a session for parents on the abuse prevention program, Called to
Protect, today Sunday, January 25, 9-10:30am in the school. The session will provide you
with up-to-date information on current threatening issues our children might be facing, as well as
tips and advice on how to avoid these situations. Refreshments will be provided. We
encourage you to attend!

(Insert Graphic 2407-0090.tif) Sign-Ups for CYO VOLLEYBALL (grades 3-12) and TRACK
(grades 3-8) is today Sunday, January 25, 2015, from 9-10:30 am in the school. The volleyball fee is $80
and the track fee is $50. If you did not play basketball or another CYO sport this year, you must have a
physical dated after June 1, 2014. Registration forms are available outside the school office. If you are
interested in coaching, please let us know at sign-ups. Today is the only sign-up. If you cannot attend
sign-ups, registrations may be sent to the school office to Mr. Motils attention. The deadline to submit
all registration materials is Thursday, February 5. Please call St. Augustine School at (330) 753-6435
with any questions.
A "Caring and Sharing" session for those struggling with divorce, separation or widowhood will
be held on Monday, January 26th from 7:30-9:00 pm at Immaculate Heart of Mary's Convent
Building, 1945 Portage Trail in Cuyahoga Falls. Marlene Maruna, a Licensed Independent Social
Worker, will facilitate this session. This event is open at no charge to people of all faiths. For

Theology of the Body for Teens: Are you looking for a way to teach your pre-teen the Catholic approach
to chastity and morality? Theology of the Body for Teens: Middle School Edition is an exciting and
dynamic program based on Pope John Paul IIs revolutionary Theology of the Body. This eight week
program will give students the answers and the tools they need to successfully and safely navigate
through life. Meetings will be held in the church rectory on Wednesday evenings from 7-8:30pm
beginning February 11. This is open to all 6, 7 & 8 graders. You must register by January 30. Parents
can find out more by attending a Parent Info Night, held on Tuesday, January 27 at 7:00pm in the school
cafeteria, or by visiting www.TOBforTeens.com/Parents.

Anointing of the Sick Mass this Wednesday, January 28 at 5:30pm. Anyone in need of
physical, emotional and spiritual healing is invited to attend. If you know someone in need of
this healing sacrament, please feel free to invite them to this special Mass.

February 1 following the 10:30 Mass. Hosts will be Barb Eikelberry & the Girl Scouts.
Lets play Euchre. Join us Friday, February 6 at 6:30 in the school cafeteria
for a friendly game (or two) of Euchre. All are welcome to attend. Feel free to
bring a snack to share. Hope to see you there.

attending the St. Augustine Athletic Board Rally in the Alley. Only 125 tickets will
be sold, prices are $35.00 each, additional dinners $10.00, with a grand prize of
$1000 if all are sold. Ticket prices include dinner and drinks. The Reverse Raffle will
be held in the SAC Saturday, February 7, 2015 beginning at 6:00pm. Dont miss out
on an evening of fellowship and fun! Tickets are available in the school, rectory or
from any Athletic Board member.
Tickets for the SHROVE TUESDAY CARD PARTY will be on sale after all Masses this
weekend, as well as through February 15. Tickets are $7.00. Doors will open at 6:00; the
card party will be from 6:30-9:00 pm in the SAC. There will be a light supper, a special
items raffle, Chinese auction, and door and table prizes. Ladies and gentlemen, please
help the St. Augustine Women of Faith revive this traditional parish pre-Lenten party! Join us for an
evening of fun.

the following dates in 2015: February 22, April 19, May 31, June 28, July 26, August 23 or
September 13. The day will begin with registration and 10:30am followed with Mass at
11:00am. The cost is $75.00 per couple which includes lunch. For reservations, please call the

one requirement is that the parents attend a Pre-Baptism Class. The next class will be held at
St. Augustine Church on Tuesday, January 20 at 7:00pm in the rectory meeting room.

year! This is an exciting and challenging time for those preparing to receive the sacrament. One
of the ways we can show them our support as a Parish, and share in this journey with them, is
through our prayers. Each candidate will have a prayer partner! If you feel called to be a prayer
partner, or would like some more information, please contact Brianna Maloney at 330-745-1080.
Save the Date! Be the first to kick off "Green Season" this year on Saturday,
February 28, at 6:30 p.m. at the South Akron Knights of Columbus Hall (2055
Glenmount Avenue). Back by popular demand will be Green Blossom Special with
Pat Flynn, Chuck Keiper and Danny Christy; bagpiper, Brian McEnhiney; and the
MacConmara Irish Step Dancers. Evening includes entertainment, dinner, Chinese raffles,
50/50 raffle, and James Irish Whiskey raffles. Proceeds will benefit local seminarians.
Tickets are $15 each ($20 at the door) or 'get a break with a table of 8' for only $100 and will
be available February 1 by contacting the Hall between 10-2 or after 6:00 p.m. weekdays or
