PERFORMANCE
MOVEMENT TAPING

CrossFit legend

Until recently, opportunities for non-medical communities to learn

kinesiology taping were very rare. Even then, the choices were
limited toreading a book or attending an expensive class that was
created to lock you into one way of applying tape. Performance
Movement Taping (PMT) revolutionary technique utililizes a movement
based concept of applying tape to address mobility and stability
balance in core foundational movements. PMT taping techniques are
designed to address performance through better posture and form
alongside learning to tape for painful muscles and joints.

PERFORMANCE MOVEMENT TAPING: STATE OF THE ART

Performance Movement Taping (PMT) is a certification program led by industry leading
experts in functional movement assessment and performance. This course will introduce
the concept of training enhancement via functional taping methods. This certification will
focus on how to functionally tape to improve movement, posture and performance. We
believe that clinics should be inclusive, interactive and stimulating with the majority of your
attendees time spent - hands on! Attendees will learn how to integrate this new
systemic approach to taping into their clients programs. They will leave this clinic with a
revolutionary new skill and understanding of human movement. This course is intended
for coaches, trainers and athletes with all levels of experience with taping. The best tape
and the best taping certification training in town is being brought to your doorstep at an
affordable price. All supplies needed for the course are provided. That's how we roll!

PERFORMANCE MOVEMENT TAPING

Trainers and coaches frequently learn muscle function in a
closed environment, with very little regard for their
functional effect on movement as a whole. As a result,
many sport training and fitness programs are based on
rudimentary bodybuilding concepts that focus on muscles
in isolation. This isolated muscle concept has limited our
views of how the body coordinates movement.
Performance Movement Taping (FMT) is based on the
obvious yet largely overlooked concept of muscles
acting as a chain.
Until recently, opportunities for non-medical
communities to learn kinesiology taping were very rare.
Even then, the choices were limited to reading a book or
attending an expensive class that was created to lock you
into one way of applying tape. Performance Movement
Taping (PMT) revolutionary technique utiliizes a movement based concept of applying tape to
address mobility and stability balance in core foundational movements. PMT taping techniques are
designed to address performance through better posture and form alongside learning to tape for
painful muscles and joints.
Kinesiology tape was first used by acupuncturists and chiropractors in Japan 20 years ago. Today
it is used by coaches, trainers and athletes throughout the world to improve training, sports
performance and recovery. Just think back to the 2012 Olympics, 2012 and 2013 Crossfit Games
where athletes from every sport could be seen with strips of colorful tape over various joints and
muscles.
This certification will explore the concepts of performance improvement through movement based
kinesiology taping applications. The class is intended for coaches, trainers and athletes with no or
little exposure to taping.
Educational objectives include:
1. Introduce the concept of a muscle chain approach to movement and kinesiology taping
(Primal Movement Taping)
2.

Understand the effects and benefits of kinesiology taping and the model of taping
movements, not muscles.

3.

Master movement taping principles and understand their role and use for performance,
posture, and recovery.

4.

Apply movement taping applications and primal movement exercises to double leg stance,
single leg stance, staggered stance and core movements.
