Responsibilities and Authorities:

Prepare NDT drawings and finalise test packs;


Conduct daily welding inspections, carryout mechanical and QC
clearance of hydro test packages.
Incoming inspection of Project Materials;
Review fabrication / erection, documents and work quality in terms of
specification, workmanship and other variables as indicated in project
documents and as per requirements of QC standard operating procedures
and Customer specification.
Prepare and schedule required NDT / PWHT as applicable, for visually
accepted joints to cope up with the NDT percentage requirements per line
class including welders performance percentage.
Familiarize with the approved Quality and Inspection plan, Approved
Drawings, Governing Standards and Specifications.
Prepare Welding Procedure Specifications and Conduct Procedure
Qualification Tests, Welder Qualification Tests and Mechanical testing of
test specimens.
Monitor / witness QA/QC activities related to Piping / pipelines and Hydro
testing / Pneumatic Testing of erected piping systems.
Coordination of daily welding inspection activity with Customer
representative and regularize inspection records, maintain and update
inspection and test status;
Carry out painting inspection as per project specification.
Monitor calibration status of Inspection, measuring and test equipment;
Monitor the calibration status of welding equipment, electrode baking /
holding oven, electrode portable oven etc.;
Preparation of final documents for the Project completion Dossier.
Controlling welding/painting repairs by taking corrective action.
Carry out inspection as per approved Inspection and Test Plan (ITP),
Project Specification and approved method statement.

Notify the non conformities by Site observation Memo / Non Conformity


Report.
Undertake any other responsibilities assigned by the superiors;
Comply with the policies, guidelines and strategies laid down by the
Management to achieve the objectives of the company.

Essential job functions:


Monitoring and administering the QA/QC Plan / Program and ensuring
incorporated materials on construction projects are in compliance with the
plans and specifications.
Assuring that the work is performed as required by contract and meets or
exceeds the required qualities.
Assuring the acceptable quality of materials, processes, and workmanship
in the project work.
Read, comprehend and initiate specifications
Submittal tracking, review, and approval for all materials
Conducting the preparatory, initial, and follow-up inspections for all
features of work
Coordination of testing services and supplemental inspections
Handling dealing with other departments pertaining to scope of work
Track QC testing requirements
Prepare & maintain Field-Tested Summaries and related quality control
documentation for all field-tested materials.
Maintain documentation of any non-compliance materials and equipment.
Collect and document split samples for third party testing; coordinate
independent testing on field-tested materials.
Maintain standards of safety and comply with Companys Health, Safety
and Environment Management System requirements.
Take reasonable care of own health and safety and that of others in the

workplace.
Follow and maintain Company standards of Quality in accordance with
Company Quality System requirements
