Dimple Type: External
Internal

Roll On Type: Internal

-Anti-Rotational.
-Applies to sizes
-Positive O-ring Seal.
-CT shape is altered to
engage corresponding
connector profiles.
-Provides a threaded
connection for BHAs

Coil Connectors:
Slip Type:
-Anti-Rotational.
-Positive O-ring Seal.
-Applies to all sizes of CT.
-Slip is used to engage CT,
-CT remains nominal in size.
-May be accompanied by dimple
type.
-Provides a threaded connection for
BHAs.

Check Valves:
Flapper Style:
-Positive O-ring Seal.
-High pressure
-Large passable ID.
-Acts as a safety valve preventing
upward flow of well bore fluids
or gases into the coil tubing
work string.

Ball / Dart Type:
-Ball and seat provides seal.
-Positive metal to metal seal.
-High pressure.
-ID is not passable.

Separation tools:
Mechanical Type:
- Provides the BHA a separation point, so the CT
and the BHA located above the separation sub
may be recovered from the well.
- Tension release.
- Release value adjusted by material and number
of shear screws installed.
- Alternative shear methods available.

Separation Tools:
Hydraulic Types:
- Flow activated
release mechanism
allows function with
out having to seat a
actuation ball.
- Flow rates may be
adjusted as required.
- May be accompanied
by shear screws.

- Ball activated release


mechanism requires
passable IDs located
above.
- Adjustable pressure as
per requirement.
- Variable ball sizes.

Circulation Subs:
Single & Dual Types:
- Provides a secondary means of circulating
in the event the BHA located below the circ.
sub becomes obstructed or may be functioned
to shut off flow to other BHA components.
- May or may not be ball activated.
- Pressure adjustable.
- Burst disc used for safety purposes.

Motorhead Assembly:
Motorhead assemblies incorporate the
previous listed BHA components into
on complete tool serving four purposes.
-Coil Connector.
-Dual Flapper Check Valve.
-Hydraulic Disconnect.
-Dual Circulation Sub.

Coil Tubing BHA Impact Devices:


Dual Acting Hydraulic Jarring Systems:
- Jarring systems are commonly used to dislodge
well bore obstructions.
- Intensifiers used in conjunction with jars to
maximize forces applied to fish.
- Functioned by reciprocating the CT work string.
- Requires tension and compression loads down
hole.
- Delivers both upward and downward impacts.
- Passable IDs
- No flow required

Coil Tubing BHA Impact Devices:


Impact Hammer Systems:
- Impact hammers provide an alternative
method of impacting lodged well bore
obstructions.
- CT work string does not require reciprocation.
- Flow is required.
- Impacts are delivered at a high frequency,
producing a jack hammer effect.
- IDs are not passable.
- Lower tension and compression loads required
to function.
- Both upward and downward acting.

BHA Rotational Tools:


Kick Off & Index Type:
- Provides the CT BHA the ability to rotate in order
to orientate through various well profiles or assist
in engaging fishing tools.
-Actuated by compression weight.
- Resistance required, a shoulder such as a liner top
or an overshot onto a fish.
- May or may not counter rotate when resetting.
- From 120 1080 deg rotation.
- Clockwise or counter clockwise available.

Fishing Tools:
Hydraulic Spears:
- Spears provide the versatility of retrieving
various types of well bore obstructions by
engaging the ID.
- May be designed for specific profiles such as
sliding sleeves, plugs, disconnects, etc.
- Can be used to engage slick IDs.
- Hydraulic releasable.
- Pressure adjustable.
- Hydrostatically balanced.

Fishing Tools:
Hydraulic Overshot:
- Overshot's, much like the spear provide the
ability to retrieve well bore obstructions by
engaging the OD.
- May be design for specific profiles such as
wire line fish necks, prongs, plugs etc.
- May be used to engage slick ODs.
- Hydraulic releasable.
- Pressure adjustable.
- Hydrostatically balanced.
- Short or standard catch range.

- Provides bit rotation by converting
flow and pressure to mechanical rotation
and torque.
- Fluid driven.
- Sealed or open bearing sections.
- Various power section
configurations.
- Various speeds, output
torques & lengths.
- Elastomer used in the stators.

CT Drilling Motors:
Vain type:
- No elastomer used in the power section.
- May be driven with gases or harsh fluids.
- May be operated in high temperature
environments.
-Various performance options
available.
- Generally shorter in length.
- Sealed bearing assembly.

Milling Tools:
- Milling and drilling tools provide the cutting
edge that is required to remove well bore
obstructions, manage unwanted debris
or drill geographical formations.

Specialty Milling Tools:


Under reamers:
- Under reamers allow a small ID to be
passed thru and larger ID to be milled or drilled
. below.
- Hydraulically functioned.
- May be operated in conjunction with PDMs.
- Opening parameters may be adjusted.
- No need to remove production tubing in order
. to service the casing or open hole section . . .
.. below the tubing bottom.

CT Cable Heads:
E-Line Coil Tubing:
-Provides a means of connecting the E-line
located inside the coil tubing to a usable
electronic connection while mechanically
connecting to the coil tubing and serving
the four purposes of the motorhead assembly.
- Coil connector.
- Dual flapper check valve.
- Hydraulic disconnect.
- Circulation sub.

- May be set in casings or tubing.
- Mechanical or hydraulic setting mechanisms.
- Various pressure ratings.
- May be operated with out killing the well.

- May be used as a safety component.
- May be used to increase BHA flow rate
to assist in well clean up.
- May control flow rate delivered to the . .

CT Directional Tools:
Hydraulic steering:
- Provides the ability to
control the drilling BHAs
direction down hole.
- May be functioned
hydraulically or electronically
from surface.
- Operated in conjunction with
directional measuring
instruments.

Specialty Tools:
BHA Pulsating:
-The CT BHA is oscillated by a pulse generated
by the tool. The pulse prevents the onset of helical lock
up of the work string.
- Enhanced weight transfer to the drilling BHA.

- Provides the ability
to locate and enter
multi-lateral legs in
a well to perform CT
work over operations.
