SMP 2.3 Server settings


In order to connect to your SMP server you should fill the appropriate fields by
clicking the Settings button on the login dialog.

In the Settings Screen you should fill the fields based on one of the following scenarios:

SMP with Relay Server scenario


If you have Relay server in your landscape you should fill the following:
Host: Your Relay server ip or domain name
Timeout: Time out value in seconds
MBS Port: In this case the value is 80
RBS Port: In this case the value is 80
URL_Suffix: Relay Server URL Suffix
MsgFarm: Relay Server Messaging Farm
RepFarm: Relay Server Replication Farm
Activation Code: SMP User Activation Code

SMP without Relay server scenario


If you do not have Relay server in your landscape you should fill the following:
Host: Your SMP server ip or domain name
Timeout: Time out value in seconds
MBS Port: Your Messaging Port, default is 5001
RBS Port: Your Replication Port, default is 2480
Activation Code: SMP User Activation Code
All other fields should be empty.

Mobile Application Operations

Login
Use your SAP account on central system (the system that exposes the authorization
web service) to Log In into application.
Keep in mind that application logs out automatically after been in background mode
for more than 10 seconds.

Main Menu

The first time we log into application we have to Select SAP Backend and add at least
one System. We have the option to add more than one Systems and select one of them
at a time as
the default
working
System.

User Administration
In this Menu area we can search for SAP System users, display user status, Lock or
Unlock a user and reset users password.

We can use * as a wildcard for username and change the number of returning results.
On results list we tap on name to see user details.

Use Actions to perform Lock/Unlock User or change Password

System Alerts
In this Menu area we can explore SAP System alerts. Alerts are categorized under
System Monitor Sets and System Monitors.

First select a Monitor Set from the list and then select the View (Current Status or
Open Alerts)

You can change this option at any time using the top list panel

Secondly tap on a monitor.


Colors follows Sap coloring for alert
messages (a red monitor means that at list
one of the alerts belonging to this
monitor is red)

Selecting a monitor gives us a list of


nodes (categories) related to this
monitor. After taping a node we have
the list of nodes alerts where we can see
details for the message and time alert
occurred.

Background Jobs
In this Menu area we can explore background Jobs, check Jobs log, copy and
reschedule a Job, Start a scheduled Job immediately or cancel a running Job.
The selection screen it is the same
as SAP transaction SM37. We can
use * as a wildcard for username
and Jobs name and we can change
the number of returning results.

In the list displayed we tap an item and have the options to Show Logs or Copy and
Reschedule Job.
View log shows Jobs log and Copy and
Reschedule provide user with the steps to
create a Jobs copy and schedule it to start in
specific date/time.

We can reschedule a finished (green) or Cancelled


(red) Job. After rescheduled a Job the application
returns to selection screen so we can search for the
new Job.

Depending on Jobs Status when taping on a Job we show different list of Actions.
On a Scheduled Job we have the ability to
Start Job immediately or ASAP or
Reschedule and release the Job.

On a Released Job we have the options to


Reschedule or Move to Planned Jobs.

On an Active Job we have the option to


Abort Job.

Jobs log gives us Start Date/time, step


details and the Message Status

Logout
An Option Menu exists on Application and we can use it to Logout.
