painting in one night! Learn
how to paint the Wet-on-Wet method popularized by Bob
Ross and other television artists. Our experienced instructor,
Pauline Stitt, will lead you step-by-step through this technique
that makes it easy and fun to create your own masterpiece in
one evening! Oil paints, canvas, and easel will be provided.
Student will need to supply own brushes or they can be purchased from the instructor on the first night of class.
Young and old alike can discover creativity with this proven
method. Wear old clothing. Samples of the finished projects
are on display at the Community Education office. Held at

Therapy dogs come in all sizes, ages,

and breeds. The most important characteristic of a therapy dog
is its temperament. A suitable therapy dog MUST be friendly,
patient, confident, gentle, and at ease in unfamiliar situations.
They must enjoy human contact and being petted and handled
by unfamiliar children and adults.

Mans Best Friend will experience

socialization with other dogs, people, and
distracting activities. Using the positive reinforcement
method of training, dogs and puppies will learn to sit, get down,
stay, come, leave it, take it, wait, eye contact and loose-leash
walking. Proof of vaccination is required at the first night. This
is a 6 week class.

If this sounds like your dog, come join us for this 6-week class
focusing on canine-assisted pet therapy. Our class is designed to
prepare you and your dog for this rewarding volunteer
opportunity! Dogs need proof of vaccinations, possess basic
obedience skills and be comfortable around other dogs.

dangerous for getting out with Fido. Come in out of the cold

The American Kennel Clubs Canine Good
Citizen test (CGC) is a certification program that evaluates dogs
in simulated everyday situations in a relaxed, noncompetitive
atmosphere. The purpose of the test is to ensure that dogs are
respected members of their communities and are trained to act
mannerly in the home, in public places and in the presence of
other dogs. Dogs that pass the CGC test are deemed to be
reliable family and community members and will receive a
certificate from the American Kennel Club. The ten-step CGC
certification includes important skills like: greet a friendly
stranger, sits politely for petting and move politely through a
crowd. The CGC test is an important preparation for owners
interested in the therapy dog program that OV Community Ed
offers. NOTE: ALL dogs must have written proof of current
vaccinations at the first class. This is a four week class.

number of athletic clinics for elementary age youth,
open gym activity for middle school age youth and
enrichment classes for adults and their children.

growing and profitable health care industry!
Employment opportunities have never been
better for Nurse Aides and Home Health Aides.
Since 1990, all Nurse Aides and Home Health Aides must
complete an approved training program to be eligible for
employment. Students completing this program will be eligible
and qualified to take the State Nurse Aide Competency Exam
and Home Health Care Exam.

Below are pictures of the enrichment classes. These

craft projects are for parent(s) and child(ren) to
