Headmasters Corner
Last Friday we were treated to a super assembly performed by Year 1 on team work. As always, they were an absolute
delight; thank you to you all.
We say good bye to Sam Payne today after three years with us as an excellent grounds man and gardener. We wish him
every success in his new venture but ask that he keeps in contact as I know he will be missed.
You will have seen in the calendar that the boarders have a super programme planned for the weekends. If you would like
your children to join in the fun please do let Mr and Mrs Glanville know.
Attached with this copy of The Tracker is a reminder that we will be hosting a concert in aid of the Teenage Cancer Trust
on Saturday 7th March. If you would like to reserve a ticket please contact the office. Tickets are priced at 10 each but
are limited.

Good Intention & Politeness Award

Year 2 History

Congratulations to the following children who have been

nominated for the Good Intention and Politeness Award:
Toby Littlejohn, Oliver Shutt, Carmen Rey-Jones, William
Sheppard, Tilly Jordan, Alex Gooch, Lewis Burrows, Olivia
Campbell and George Symonds. The award for the first
quarter goes to George Symonds for always being happy
and polite. Well done, George!

Year 2 are enjoying their History lessons. This week we

have been learning about the Battle of Hastings. The
children have been thinking about whether they would
have been 'Team William' or 'Team Harold'! We have
looked at the Bayeux Tapestry as historical evidence and
the children think the 'Beige Tapestry' or the 'sewn-up
picture' is very useful. A great week, Year 2; well done!

Cricket Award
Congratulations to Jake Wakeling who has been selected
for the U10 Cardiff and Vale County Cricket Squad for a
second year. Well done, Jake!

Lower School Classrooms

We would like to remind parents that the Lower School
classrooms open at 8.20am until 8.35am. If your child
needs to come to school before that time they must sign in
for breakfast.
