PROJECT SPECIFICATIONS
1. CONSTRUCTION GUIDELINES
1.1

The site and the building shall be thoroughly examined in


relation to all conditions, which may directly affect the
contract work. Proposed bid must fully reflect all such
affecting conditions and duly noted on the bid.

1.2

The contractor shall be responsible, during and prior to


construction for verifying all the dimensions, which may
affect the work.

1.3

Any doubt as to the true meaning and intent of the bid plan
and specifications or any obscurity in the wording of this bid
form shall be referred to the owner or his authorized
representative for interpretation. The decision of the owners
authorized representative on the discrepancies so as to
conform to the real intent on the drawings and specifications
shall govern to carry out the work in the most satisfactory
manner.

1.4

The specifications cover the necessary materials and intend


to specify their brands, size, kind or type and other relative
details including workmanship required to construct the
proposed structure in the conformity with the plans and
drawings. Any discrepancies in types and brands of materials
used or installed during actual construction shall be rejected
unless with written approval of owner or his authorized
representative.

1.5

All works shall be done and executed in the highest quality


of workmanship.

1.6

It is understand that the work shall be done and executed in


accordance with the understand engineering method and
regulations with the building code and requirements as
called for by design of the project in the strict compliance to
this specifications and drawings.

1.7

The contractor is required to send in their carpentry/masonry


including painting and plumbing foreman/leadman for a preconstruction meeting and interview with the OWNER and his
authorized project supervisor prior to start of construction.

2. TURNOVER OF PROJECT
2.1 General Cleaning/Clearing of site and its surrounding area
prior to turnover of project.
2.2 The contactor shall be directly responsible in coordination
with the owner for the completion of the proposed project.

3. MATERIALS AND SPECIFICATIONS


3.1 Portland : REPUBLIC, RIZAL ISLAND or imported cement
conforming to standard specifications for Portland cement (ASTM
Designation C150 latest revision type 1 Portland cement)
3.2 Reinforcing steel bars : Intermediate grade conforming to the
latest edition of ASTM Designation (A615-68 Grade 33) A36.Mild
Grade.
3.3 Concrete Aggregates : Well graded, clean particles of gravel or
crushed rock conforming to the STANDARD specification for
concrete Aggregates ASTM Designation C-33 latest edition.
3.4 Mortar and Grouts : Conforming (ASTM 90) requirements of
NSCB.
3.5 Concrete Works : Conforming to latest edition of NSCB, ACI 31883.
3.6 Sand : White sand conforming to ASTM C35-67
3.7 Concrete Hollow Block : Conform to ASTM 90.
