DESCRIPTION
Study of mass transfer and performances of equipment for distillation, gas absorption
and liquid-liquid extraction.

OBJECTIVES
Upon completion of this course, students should be able to
i.
Ability to define and explain the fundamental concepts of mass transfer and
separation processes.
ii.
Ability to apply the basic principles of separation units in calculations and design
the separation processes equipment.
iii.
Ability to evaluate the basic principles of separation units in calculations and
design the separation processes equipment.
