Kit List

Clothing
Comfortable Underwear
Socks - at least one pair a day maybe two.
Long hiking/football socks are ideal. Not trainer socks!
Trousers Loose fitting tracksuit bottoms or 'combats' to allow movement.
No denim jeans...
Base Layers i.e. t-shirt
Mid Layers i.e. long sleeved t-shirt or similar
Top Layers - Sweatshirt / Hooded top / Fleece
(Several pairs of the above to enable changes if clothes get wet or dirty).
Waterproof coat or jacket (although waterproofs are supplied to go over jackets)
Gloves
Warm Hat / Baseball Cap / Brimmed hat (weather dependant!)
Sturdy Trainers/walking boots suitable for activities (walking boots can be
borrowed from the centre so please do not buy)
Indoor shoes a pair of soft trainers/pumps to wear around inside
Working torch with batteries
Sun cream in appropriate weather (A brand thats been used before)
Pyjamas warm
Wash kit, towel, pillow case and duvet cover

No electronic devices.

Useful Skills List


Here are some skills that it may be useful to practise in
preparation.

Tying their own shoe laces and preferably boot laces


Making an edible sandwich
Making their own bed; duvet covers
Pack their own bag know where their stuff is
Carrying their own bag
Stay away for the night / sleepover

Medical Information

Medical information sheet shared with adults

Where possible give medicine to the office in advance.


On the day hand medicine in to Hall 2 (this hall)
A completed consent form needed with ALL medication
even Calpol!
Help us with sensible packaging and clear labelling
Medication will be timetabled and ticked off list each day
Some medication will be carried by the staff

Accommodation
Malvern Hills OEC has accommodation for up to 100 in 3 independent units There is
South Block, North Block and the Chalet. All units include recreational spaces.
