requestingservice.Italsohelpsyouknowwhichcomponentsareinstalled.If

Thesoftwareusedtoentercarddataiscalledaserverbasedprintdirector.In
mostcases,thisisacustomapplicationdevelopedspecificallyforyour
organization.Thesoftwareisdesignedtosendcarddatatothecard
personalizationsystem.
Contactyoursystemadministratorfordetailsonprocessingcardswithyour

Thecardmovestothemagneticstripeencodeareaortothesmartcardpark
stationdependingonthetypeofcardselected.Theencrypteddataisdecrypted
andwrittentothecard.Whenmagneticstripeandsmartcardfunctionsare
complete,thecardistransferredtotheembossercomponent.
Ifthecarddesignincludesindentdataandtheembossingwheelincludes
optionalindentcharacters,thesystemprocessestheindentdatafirst.On
enteringtheembosser,thecardisflippedtoindentcharactersandapplytopping
foiltothecharactersonthebackofthecard.Ifthecarddesignincludesindent
charactersonthefrontofthecard,thecardisturnedautomaticallyandmoved
backtotheindentmoduletoindentandapplytoppingfoiltothecharacterson
thefrontofthecard.

Thesystemthenprocessestheembossdata.Theembossfunctionisatwostep
process.Firstthecharactersareembossedandthentoppingfoilisappliedto
thosecharacters.
Application
TheCESeriessystemisusedwithanapplicationthatprocessescarddataand
obtainstheneededauthorizationfromthefinancialsystemthatmanages
customeraccounts.Inmostcases,thisisacentralizedapplication,withlinksto
theinterfaceusedattheissuancesites.
YoucanuseDatacardPrinterControlLanguage(DPCL2)towriteacustom
applicationthatmeetstheneedsofyourorganization.Theapplicationmustbe
