Installing BizHub 350 on XP (As Local Printer)

First, make sure the BizHub 350 copier is already connected to the Network switch/hub using UTP cable (RJ45)

Step 1 (On the machine)

Press the Utility/Counter button


On the LCD screen, press Admin. Management
Enter 12345678 and press ENTER (12345678 is the default administrator code. It may changes accordingly
by the administrator)
Press Admin. 2
Press Network Settings
Press Basic Settings
Make sure the DHCP is IP Input, if not then press the DHCP and press IP Input, then press ENTER
To set the printer IP Address press IP Address Settings, enter the IP Address and press ENTER when finished
Use the gateway IP structure. For example, if the gateway IP is W.X.Y.Z, then the printer IP should be
W.X.Y.N where N is the unique IP address that can be in between of 1 to 255, but make sure it
doesnt clash with other computer or device that connected to the network.

To set the printer subnet mask press Subnet Mask (Use the same subnet mask with the computer that will
be used as the Host or Gateway which is mentioned in the Step 2). Press ENTER when finished
To set the printer gateway press Gateway and enter the IP Address of the computer that will be used as the
host or gateway which is mentioned in the Step 2. Press ENTER when finished
Press ENTER when all settings has been set
Turn off the printer and turn it on again when requested
To exit and go to the default screen, keep on pressing ENTER until you find EXIT button. Press the EXIT
button to exit.

Step 2 (On the computer)

Click the START menu and click Printer and Faxes


Click Add a printer
In the Add Printer Wizard click Next
Choose Local printer attached to the computer and make sure the Automatically detect and install my
Plug and Play printer is unchecked, and then click Next
Choose Create a new port and choose Standard TCP/IP Port, then click Next
In the Add Standard TCP/IP Printer Port Wizard click Next
Enter the Printer IP Address in the Printer Name or IP Address box
Enter the desired port name in the Port Name box or just ignore to use the auto-generated port name,
and click Next
Choose Custom and click Settings
Choose LPR for the Protocol
Enter Print in the Queue Name box and make sure the LPR Byte Counting Enabled is checked, and
then click OK, Next and Finish
In the Add Printer Wizard click Have Disk and browse for the directory where the printer driver (*.inf)
has been stored, then click OK and follow the instructions.
If prompted Do you want to keep choose Keep existing driver (Recommended) and click Next
Choose Yes or No to set the printer as the default printer or not (Optional) and click Next
Choose whether you want to share the printer or not and enter the printer share name if you choose to
share the printer (Optional) and click Next
Choose Yes or No, whether you want to print a test page or not (Optional) and click Next
Click Finish

Step 3 (On the computer)

Click the START menu and click Printer and Faxes


Right-click on the printer icon and click Printing Preference
Go to Setup tab
Set the Original Size to A4 and the Output Size to A4 (Choose the default paper size that you will use)
Click Apply and then click OK
For faster printing Right-click on the printer again and click Properties
Go to Advance tab and choose Print directly to the printer
Click Apply and then click OK

Adding BizHub 350 (Shared) on XP

Click the START menu and click Printer and Faxes


Click Add a Printer and in the Add Printer Wizard click Next
Choose A network printer, or a printer attached to another computer and click Next
Choose Browse for a printer and click Next
Look for the printer according to the name of the computer that shared the printer and click Next
Choose Yes or No to set the printer as the default printer or not (Optional) and click Next
Click Finish

Installing BizHub 350 on Win98/ME

First, make sure that your system is already having NetBEUI protocol installed
Click Start on the taskbar, click Settings and then click Control Panel
Double-click the Network icon
Click Add and then in the Select Network Component Type choose Protocol and then click Add
In the Select Network Protocol, in the Manufacturers list, select Microsoft
And in the Network Protocols list, select NetBEUI and then click OK
After you closed the Network settings, a Insert Disk prompt will appear with a message Please insert the
disk labeled Windows 98 Second Edition CD-ROM, and then click OK.
Click OK, then in the Copy files from listbox, you may select or type in the CD path (for example E:\Win98)
or the path of the directory if you have a copy of it in your local disk (for example C:\Win98), Then click OK
again
A window with header System Setting Change will appear, asking Do you want to restart your computer
now?
Click Yes and let the computer reboot
Click Start on the taskbar, click Settings and then Printers
In the Printers folder, double-click the Add Printer icon, and in the Add Printer Wizard click Next
Choose Network Printer and click Next
Click Browse and look for the printer DNS Host Name, double-click and select the correct printer id, then
click Next
The printer DNS Host Name can be found at the printer LCD panel as below:
Utility/Counter > Admin. Management > 12345678 > Admin. 2 > Network Settings > DNS Setting

Click Have Disk, click Browse and look for the driver (*.inf) in the directory where you have store it.
Click OK > OK > Next
If A driver is already installed for this printer, choose Keep existing driver (recommended) and click
Next
Check the Printer Name and edit it if necessary and accordingly
Choose Yes or No (Optional) to set the printer as the default printer or not, then click Next
Choose Yes or No (Optional) whether you want to print a test page or not, then click Finish.

Accessing the Bizhub 350 Setting directly from a computer


-

Open an Internet Browser and type in the printer IP (with http:// at the beginning of the line) at the
browser address bar. For example http://196.168.11.255
Enter the administrator code (default: 12345678)
Make sure you click Log-out after you make changes on the settings or before you exit the browser
(The machine will not be able to be used while you are accessing the printer settings application from a
computer)
