Ganda Mool Nakshtras
EFFECT OF INAUSPICIOUS GANDANTHA CONSTELLATIONS AT BIRTH (GAND MOOL NAKSHTRA)
Gandantha/gandmool constellation is the junction of the following pairs of stars, viz :
(1) Jyeshta and Mula.
(2) Aslesha and Makha.
(3) Revati and Aswini for a period of 7-1/2 ghatikas (three hours) is called gandantha and such
junction produces much evil to persons born at such a junction.
These asterisms are called Gandantaras [Vulnerable Points] and are considered to be highly
inauspicious for the child and in some cases for the parents and relatives. If there is a solar
eclipse or if the moon is on the horizon, the situation becomes more critical. But if the child born
under these inauspicious asterisms survives he is expected to attain a very high position or
status in life and in some cases may attain the position of a minister. Governor or an industrial
magnate.
(A) The three hours must be taken to include the 1-1/2 hours at the end of the 1st star and 1-1/2
hours at the beginning of the 2nd star.
(B) The junction of Jyeshta and Mula for a period of 7-1/2 ghatikas is technically called Abhaukta
Mula. Any girl or boy born at such a junction brings about the ruin of the family into which he or
she is born.

(6)
6th division, the danger is to domestic animals, cattle and loss of wealth.
(7)
