Relevant Experience
During my working life I have enjoyed different appointments from working as a Chainman
for a Civil Engineer Surveyor at Balfour Beatty to working as an in-flight aircraft cleaner briefly
as a supervisor. My main career started as a Trainee Lettings Negotiator for a Property
Management and Lettings Company, of which I progressed through the system to take over
and manage the department myself as well as helping with the property management side
too. This was great experience due to the nature of the business as I had dealings with all
walks of life as well as prospective clients of all calibre. I am confident in using a computer, I
enjoy participating as a team member but also enjoy using my own initiative. I feel that I
have good communication skills as well as a suitable telephone manor. I also have some
experience in organising material for advertisement, this was certainly the case whilst I was
employed at Dawson, Harden & Tanton Property Managers and letting agents.

Other Experience

EMPLOYEMENT AT Dawson, Harden & Tanton 94 to 01

Preparing Legal documents for example tenancy agreements and notice to quit papers

Meeting new clients with relation to new properties for the letting dept

Giving rental appraisals

Meeting New tenants and taking up references

Collecting rental monies

Banking

Carrying out periodic property inspections and reporting back to the client

Organising property repairs in conjunction with all landlords and tenants

SELF EMPLOYED SUB CONTRACTOR FOR THE DRY LINING INDUSRTY 03 to present

I have been responsible for training apprentices from the age of 16yrs to 25yrs plus,
within the dry lining industry,
this gave me great insight in working with different people with totally different backgrounds.
Planning was a huge role with looking after apprentices as boredom set in very quickly, being
able to listen and be proactive too was important.
Health and safety is a major concern with new apprentices of a young age of which I dealt
with fairly but firmly too, to satisfy all site managers when I accompanied the apprentices on
site as their mentor. Whilst on Site I was not only responsible for looking after my apprentices
but on some occasions I would also take on the role as site supervisor which involved

Cont\d…..

Day to day running of the site and reporting back to my line manager

Ordering materials when stocks became low

Stock rotation and Staffing levels

Progress meetings and reports with Site managers and my Line managers. Dealing with all
situations that was raised

Staff appraisals and discipline

PERSONAL STATEMENT
Whilst I appreciate that the experiences I have mentioned relate mainly to me working on a
building site, do not necessary relate to the position I have applied for. But I am more than
willing to re train.
