you were enslaved by your step-mother and atep-sisters, Lady Tremaine and
Drizalle and Anastacia Tremaine. Am I correct?
Ella: yes attorney.
PP: when did this kind of treatment start?
Ella: following my father's death in 1997 attorney. I was pulled from school by my
step-mother and since then I was forced to do house work without getting paid.
PP: can you tell us what you were made to do?
Ella: I was made to do all house works in the house. I was made to clean the house
everyday, do their laundry, cook their meals and everything that they commanded
me to do.
PP: why didn't you bother to tell your other relatives or the police about such
treatment?
Ella: because attorney, I was threatened by my step-mother that I would be beaten
by her guards if I use the telephone or the internet to communicate with anyone
outside the home.
PP: did you ever try to escape?
Ella: no attorney. Because the house was well-guarded by security guards who were
instructed by my step-mother to beat me up if I try to escape.
PP: I see. Where were you made to sleep at night?
Ella: I was made to sleep in the attic attorney. Where I slept on an old mattress and
used rags as blankets.
PP: we have here a photo of the room you were made to sleep. Can you tell us if this
was that room that you mentioned.
Ella: yes your honor, that was my room before.
PP: may we ask that it be noted that the photo of the room marked as Exhibit A was
indeed complainants room during the time she was detained and enslaved by
accused?

DIRECT EXAMINATION: FAIRYGOD MOTHER
Public Prosec (Deona): your honor, may we ask that our witness, Fairy Godmother,
be asked to take the witness stand for dirext examination to be conducted by
Private Prosecutor Monica David under my direct control and supervision.
Judge: Proceed.
PP (DAVID): ms Fairy Godmother, you were the accused's neighbor, am I correct?
FG: yes attorney.
PP: since when have you known the complainant?
FG: ever since she was born attorney. i was friends with her late parents, we were
neighbors eevr since they got married and moved yo Forbes Park.
PP: what about the accused? Since when did you know them?
FG: i knew them ever since Lord Tremaine remarried the accused. They moved there
in 1997 months before his passage.
PP: i see. So have you observed anything odd in Lord Tremayne's household after
his passage?
FG: well attorney, Since then I hardly see Ella anymore. I even thought that she
already went with her other relatives.
PP: is that so? There were allegations that Ella was made to do house work and was
enslaved in the home. Did you notice this?
FG: yes attorney. I noticed that there was a girl wearing ragged clothing weeding
their garden one day while I was walking my pet dog. And when I took a closer look,
it was indeed Ella.

PP: complainant also alleged that she was enslaved from 1997 to 2014. Do you
know anything about this?
FG: yes attorney. Actually, We talk to each other through our dividing fences when
their guards aren't paying attention. She told me everything that happened. I would
throw her food every now and then when we talk because I noticed that she was
very malnourished.
PP: so you knew that she was enslaved?
FG: yes attorney. I sometimes see her being scolded and treated harshly in their
garden. At night, I often hear her being scolded by her step mother and step sisters.
PP: you knew that she was enslaved, yet you didn't bother doing anything about it?
FG: i wanted to. But I was scared to endanger my life and my children's. Because
you know, Lady Tremaine is infamous in our community. Everyone knew that she
had connections everywhere. Bad connections. I feel bad about it, but I want my
family to be safe.
PP: is that so. Complainant said that you helped her escape? How did you find the
courage to do that?
FG: i decided to help her with Prince Charming's help your honor. Prince Charming
came from a very powerful family, even more powerful than Lady Tremaine's. He
said that he would protect my family. He assigned lots of his bodyguards to protect
me, my family and my home if I would help him assist Ella's escape.
PP: no more further questions your honor.
