Zenithal Lighting and Smoke Extraction

HEXAVOTE PCA is a continuous rooflight intended

for installation on profiled-steel deck roofs and
roofs with waterproofing membranes and designed
for zenithal lighting and smoke extraction.

1 - DIMENSIONS AND FEATURES

HEXAVOTE PCA is proposed with a width ranging between 1 and 5 metres. The length of the continuous lighting is unlimited.
HEXAVOTE PCA is delivered as standard with a low arrow.
A semi-circular arch arrow is also available (please contact us).
Both the sidewalls and the filling are made of alveolar polycarbonate (PCA). aluminium is employed to manufacture the
framework.

2 - DESCRIPTION

HEXAVOTE PCA is composed of:

A self-supporting curved structure (superior and inferior arches) made of extruded aluminium. The arches are
1-metre spaced as standard but can be adapted to difficult climate conditions such as strong winds and heavy snowloads.
Extruded aluminium bank profiles for:
- The recovery of rain and condensation with evacuation on side.
- The fastening of the arches.
- The support of the lowest part of the filling and the tension of the arches.
Stainless steel screws and bolts.
A transparent PCA 10 mm filling with cold-curved double layers:
- Fire rating: M2
- Light transmisison coefficient: 85 %
- Anti-UV treatment
- Thermal coefficient: U = 3.1 W/m2 K.
Pre-assembled sidewalls.

3 - UPSTAND

HEXADOME also proposes the delivery of 20/10e galvanised steel upstand (not assembled when delivered) on which
is fitted bitumen heat insulation ready to receive a waterproofing coating.
Our upstands are delivered as standard with insulation and pre-drilled screws and bolt included.
Pre-drilled upstands with no insulation or insulated upstand with no pre-drilled are also available on request.

Recommendation
We recommend to install ties every 3 metres. Contact us for more information.

5 - OPTIONS

HEXAVOTE PCA 1200 JOULES

The implementation of longitudinal reinforcements on the arches, in compliance with the notice of installation for
the HEXAVOTE PCA 1200 JOULES, allows the HEXAVOUTE for a maximum width of 5 metres to pass successfully the
1200 joules resistance test. This test consists on dropping a 50-kg mass from a height of 2.4 metres. For an even
increased security, we recommend the use of anti-falling griddle.

Griddle
The anti-falling griddle, with square tubes 15 x 15 (thickness 1,5 mm), complies with legislation concerning the protection
of personnel induced to work on roofs. It passed the dynamic 1200 joules tests with success, which certify that the product
is resistant to the shock of a 50-kg mass dropped from a height of 2.4 meters.
This same griddle can also be fitted with anti-intrusion screws (one way), giving a higher protection to your premises
against possible intruders.

Filling
HEXAVOTE PCA is delivered as standard with a PCA filling (alveolar polycarbonate) with transparent 10 mm cold-curved
doublewall. Several options of filling are available:
- Opal PCA 10 mm : light transmission coefficient = 62 %.
- Opal PCA 16 mm (fire rating M2, available in transparent, opalescent or bronze).

Lacquering
Griddle and upstands:
The lacquering of the griddle and/or the upstand
is possible with the following RAL colours.

6 - FUNCTIONS

HEXAVOTE PCA FIX, for zenithal lighting

HEXAVOTE PCA FIX in the fixed version was designed for zenithal lighting exclusively.

HEXAVOTE PCA AIR, for ventilation

An opening frame allows the opening of HEXAVOTE PCA AIR in order to air the premises.
Three different mechanisms of ventilation are available:
- HEXAVOTE PCA AIR MANUAL : opening of the frame with the help of a crankshaft.
- HEXAVOTE PCA AIR ELECTRICAL : opening of the frame with a 2-ways switch.
- HEXAVOTE PCA AIR WINCH: opening of the frame with a control box with winch.

HEXAVOTE PCA SI, for smoke extraction

HEXAVOTE PCA SI has a frame with a pneumatic double opening system in compliance with the norm
NF S 61.937. The system is supplied with an opening/closing CO jack integrated in the frame.
(minimum height of the upstand of 300 mm). This opening solution is adaptable on every
HEXAVO TE PCA with low arrow with a width of upstand from 1.5 to 3 metres.

Accessories allowing to trigger off the HEXAVOTE PCA AIR and accessories for release
are optional. Please contact us or report to the chapter concerning the control
devices.

Control systems for smoke extraction

(HEXACLIP opposite) and accessories for detection and release

8 - GUARANTEE

Garantees
Ten-year guarantee for the waterproofing of the product.
Annual guarantee for the parts that can be dismantled.

Maintenance
The normal maintenance, that involves to clean the surface of the product from leaves and undesirable objects
but also to maintain the protection coating in good condition, has to be carried out following the local
legislation at least once a year. The maintenance of the elements that compose the skylight will be done
once a year in compliance with the indications of the instructions of installation NF S 61-933.
