Brief historical perspective:


It began operations in 4th October 2004. A.M. HONDA is the authorized dealership for Honda
Motorcycles & Scooters (India) Limited.A.M. HONDA is located at Angadipuram and has
branches in Tirur, chemmad, Kondotty, Manjeri and a Pre Delivery Inspection (PDI) in
Thirurkad. The same management have newly opened their new branch in palakkad under the
name AM WINGS HONDA in April 2014 A.M. HONDA emerged as the all-India runner up for
overall excellence in 2010-11 and was awarded for the same in the All India Dealer Conference
held at Bangkok in March 2011. During the span, the company was able to get recognized as the
south Indias No.1 dealer many times. AM Honda is actually the sister concern of AM Motors
(Authorized Maruthi dealer in south India). The Team AM Honda is very well reputed for the
team work. They address the other employee by calling san instead of sir or any other forms.
In Japanese San means a term of Respect.

Here, GM is taking care of the Accounts department. All these 5 managers will be working in the
Head Office, ie Angadipuram. But they all have to do a periodic monthly visit to the branches as
well as need to report the shortcomings to the Dy. CEO. The respective manager is responsible
for the controlling and monitoring of their respective department ie sales manager will be
looking forward the things related to sales of the 4 branches. Even tough the same management
is owning AM WINGS in palakkad, the managers are different.

An employee is eligible to take one leave in a month

If he/she has not taken the leave in a month it can be carried forward to next month till
December.

In December 31st balance eligible leave will be encashed or carried forward as per the
discretion of management.

For taking leave, leave application must be submitted to HR department after getting
signature from departmental head/Br head. In case of sick or emergencies like funeral
employee should inform the functional head and should submit the application
immediately after leave.

Those who are not submitted the leave application will be considered as ABSENT and his
salary will be cut off for two days.

Which all labour contract and number of employees


At present no contract is there.
Product, by product
The product they are selling is HONDA two wheelers, which is supplied by HONDA. The
product can be divided into 2.
1. Motor bikes
2. Scooters

In bike segment, they have


1. Dream Neo - the 110 CC bike, which gives a mileage of 74 kmpl. It comes with 3
variants priced between Rs 42000 and 46000.
2. Dream Yuga- the 110 CC bike, which gives a mileage of 72 kmpl. It comes with 3
variants priced between Rs 48000 and 51000.
These 2 models ie Dream Yuga & Dream Neo are the 2 target models of Honda.
3. CB Shine - the 125 CC bike, which gives a mileage of 65 kmpl. It comes with 3 variants
priced between Rs 50000 and Rs 57000.
4. CB Unicorn - the 150 CC bike, which gives a mileage of 65 kmpl. It comes only in one
variable, priced Rs 67000.
5. CB Trigger- the 150 CC bike, which gives a mileage of 65 kmpl. . It comes with 3
variants priced between Rs 69000 and 78000.
6. CBR 150R- the 150 CC racing model bike, which gives a mileage of 50 kmpl. . It comes
with 2 variants priced between Rs 1,20,000 and 1,22,000.
7. CBR 250R- the 250 CC racing model bike, which gives a mileage of 42 kmpl. . It comes
with 5 variants priced between Rs 1,57,000 and 1,92,000.
now into the scooter :
1. Activa I- the 110CC scooter mainly focus on ladies comes with only one variant and
price is Rs 47000.
2. Activa the 110CC scooter( Indias largest selling two wheeler) mainly focus on both
gents & ladies comes with only one variant and price is Rs 49000.
3. Activa 125- the new entry, a 125 CCscooter, comes with 2 varients and priced between
Rs 56,000 and 61,000.
4. Dio - the 110CC scooter mainly focus on teenagers comes with only one variant and price
is Rs 47000.
5. Aviator the 110 CC scooter mainly focus on gents category comes with 2 varients.
Priced between Rs 58000 to Rs 62000.
Honda is stating a milege of 60kmpl to all the scooters

At present they are having a good product line to target all the segments. A total of 12 models are

AM.Honda
They themselves are using flex, news paper ads, magazine ads along with TV ads the Honda are
providing
Market share
In malapuram district there is one more Honda dealer i.e. UnirideHonda (showrooms at
malappuram & nilambur) the market share of the vehicles selling are nearly 70 %.
Process from Raw Material to Finished Products & Production System
The productions are done from the 4 factories in India and its transported to the showroom using
huge trucks. Its then unloaded to the PDI (Pre Delivery Inspection) centre in Thirukad (2Km
from Head Office). From there the extra fittings as well as checking are done before going to the
final customer.
Inventory System
FIFO method is followed here; the model which comes first will go first to the hands of the
customer.
Quality System
Honda itself is giving high priority to the quality aspect and as the dealer is not having any role
in the production aspect, in case of final product they are not doing anything, but during the time
of service they are giving much importance.

Technology &its upgradation


In case of service equipments they are upgrading their machineries during certain intervals.
Manpower Development Activities

There will be induction training for half day.
For Existing Employees
Training programmes will be there once in every two month will be there for the sales people,
for the service people there will not be that much training

No such outsourcing work, in case of recruitment they are contacting Stair Jobs, green HR

Yes .It was during 2013 August the sales went very low and it touched to a recorded low of 621
units. Then a lot of internal reshuffling and marketing activities are done.
