All the submission should have include

1. Cover letter cum Copyright transfer agreement form stating, The submission has not
been previously published nor is it before another journal for consideration; or an
explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor.
2. Cover letter Cum Copyright transfer agreement form.
3. Authors full address/affiliations including email, mobile number, and telephone/fax
number.
4. Complete manuscript must be prepared as per Guide to author.
5. Name and address with email of 4 reviewers of same field. (JPPt may designate other
reviewers).
File preparation and types
Prepare the manuscript in Times New Roman font using a font size of 12 with line 2.0 line
spacing. The preferred format of all manuscripts are in MS office (2003 or above). Title
shall be in a font size 14, bold face capitals. All section titles in the manuscript shall be in
font size 12, bold face capitals. Subtitles in each section shall be in font size 12, bold face
lower case. Standard International Units could be used throughout the text. Pages should
not be numbered; manuscript should be starting with the title page. References should be
given in Harvard style (see References section for example).
Manuscripts should be compiled in the following order: title page; abstract; main
text; acknowledgments; declaration of interest statement; appendices (as appropriate);
references; tables with captions; figures; figure captions (as a list).
TITLE PAGE: It should be considered as page 1 of the paper. It should include the title,
authors names and affiliations, running title, address for correspondence including e-mail
address and also the total number of pages, figures and tables.
Title: Must be informative, specific and short. It should not exceed 150 characters.
Authors and affiliations: The names of authors and their affiliations should be given. It
should be made clear which address relates to which author.
Running Title: It is a short title printed in the journal at the right top corner of right hand
page of the article (except the lead page). It should be not more than 50 characters in
length.
Address for Correspondence: The corresponding authors address should be given on
the title page along with e-mail ID of the corresponding author.

ABSTRACT:
This should include the title, aims, methods, results, and conclusion. It should not be more
than 250 words.
KEYWORDS: For indexing purposes, each submitted article should include five to seven
keywords, preferably chosen from the Medical Subject Headings (MESH).
INTRODUCTION:
This section should state the relevance and background to the study, and its rationale and
purpose.
MATERIALS AND METHODS
The nomenclature, source of material and procedures should be clearly stated to enable
other workers to repeat the work if necessary. New methods

should be described in

sufficient detail, but if the methods are clearly well recognized, a mere reference to them
will do; modification(s) if any, should, however, be given.
Use italics for sub-headings.
RESULTS AND DISCUSSION:
The author may write in combine or separate. Results should be in logical sequence in the
text, tables, and illustrations. Author may use sub headings, as given in materials and
methods. The same data should not be presented both in tabular and graphic forms. Only
such tables and figures as are necessary should be given. Interpretation of the data should
be taken up under discussion.
DISCUSSION:
Long, rambling discussion should be avoided. It should not be repetitious information
already presented under results. It should relate the new findings to the known and include
logical deductions. This should include implications of the findings and their limitations,
with reference to all other relevant studies and the possibilities these suggests for future
research.
CONCLUSIONS: This must summarize the main paper.
ACKNOWLEDGMENT: Acknowledgement should be brief and for specific financial
support, scientific or technical assistance, gifts, etc.
DECLARATION OF INTEREST SECTION:
All declarations of interest must be mentioned under the subheading Declaration of
interest. If authors have no declarations of interest to report, this must be explicitly
stated.

It should be clearly mentioned as stated with the same meaning in other wording: The
authors report no declarations of interest. This is compulsory.
REFERENCES
References should be given in the Harvard style. Citation in the text is by author and date.

TABLES:
The Tables should provide on separate page and should easier understand and not
duplicate information already included in the text or figures. Type each table on a separate
sheet of paper. Each table must be numbered and should contain a brief title on the top.
Every table must be referred to in the text
FIGURES:
Drawings and graphs illustrations should be professionally prepared in black ink of good
quality. Each figure should be numbered and referred to in the text. The originals or
sharply focused glossy photographic prints should be submitted upon request. Provide a
separate sheet for figure captions. Colour photographs are welcome at no extra charge.
