Puppey

While people are asked about whom do you pattern yourself after, they usually think
of politicians names or some of millionaires. On the other hand, while I am asked, I think of
his name. He does not look like your typical student-gone-millionaire, with his shy demeanor
and shaggy brown hair, but then again, there isnt much about him that is typical.
Clement Puppey Ivanov is an Estonian DotA player, captain of Secret Team, who
is the former captain of one of the best DotA teams in the world, Natus Vincere, also
known as Na`Vi. He was starting from pub games, just as everyone else. His professional
career started in the beginning of summer 2007. At that time, Puppey himself was still a no
name in the eSports world. He then picked up by Ks.int. 2009 was approaching, after more
roster changes, the team still had no stability or worthy results. But he was not giving up and
starting to execute new strategies to win the game. Then, he showed the world what he is
capable of by leading the team to win DotA-League Masters title.
After many years, DotA game maker created a sequel to DotA, DotA 2, and showcase
it for the first time ever in a tournament with a 1,000,000 USD 1st place prize purse, The
International 2011. Amongst the invitees were the best teams in the world. Puppey then made
his first steps into DotA 2 competitive scene with Na`Vi. Had people doubted Na`Vis ability
to challenge the very best at The International, it only took the group stage to convince them
otherwise. Leading by Puppey, the Ukrainians swept the group stage clean. For onlookers it
was a surprise that Na`Vi had qualified for the Grand Final with such a notable performance,
but it was anything but a coincidence that it was Puppey that led the team triumphantly.
Na`Vi then went undefeated in the whole tournament, winning the unprecedented
1,000,000 USD grand prize. In this tournament, Puppey demonstrated fantastic prediction of
opponents strategies and overcome them with counter hero drafts. He suited the title Best
DotA Captain.
Puppey is a great player that knows exactly what needs to be done to win a game,
whether it be drafting, being in the right place at the right time, or split-second decision
making, his play is top-notch. He always strives to find new variations of picks and tactics.

He is not afraid to experiment, even on the important matches. He can play any roles in the
team according to the situation in-game. He calmly thinks the solution to surpass the
opponent and defeats them. He is open and sociable. When his rosters dont like his tactics,
he can recreate new strategies and lead his team to win the match. He hasnt let his newfound
fame and fortune get the best of him; he continues practicing and improving. Compendiously,
he is the best role model for leadership.
