Scenario: TV, radio, film and advertising companies will often look to audio production companies to assist with their
product. They may be looking for sound effects, songs and other compositions, sound design and voice recordings. You
will create a portfolio of work and website that promotes it, complete with a How to Use Logic guide.
TASKS
Task 1:
You must create at least one track using MIDI (software instruments) and one track using Audio, although you are
encouraged to provide a variety of material: jingles; cover versions and short original scores/compositions. Try to show a
level of competency with this, using appropriate techniques. Once you have achieved a level of competency, try to show
imagination and creativity and mastery of sequencing skills (U32 GC2&3, U37 GC2&3)
Task 2:
Create a How to Use Logic Guide that describes the hardware and software used in the creation of your work in Task
1 and Task 2. It must explain/illustrate/analyse the terminology related to sequencing. Including how to record and edit
both Audio and MIDI, mixing and bouncing down. Include a block diagram of the computer, keyboard, soundcard,
speakers etc. (U32 GC1+4, GC37 GC1)
