(Physics in Medicine)

Academic year-2010/2011

Lect. Abdurrahman Khaleel Alassafee

Email: - alassafee@ yahoo.com

Period time of the lesson: - is (2) hour per week

Course objective
these course give the people the usefulness of
physics in understanding the behavior of the body,
these lecture covers two board areas of medical
physics:- the application of physics such as
mechanics, heat, light, sound electricity, and
magnetism to medicine and the physics of various
organ system such as the eyes, ears, lungs, and
the heart.
Since most important applications of physics in
medicine involve the field of radiology, they cover
diagnostic radiology, nuclear medicine,
radiotherapy, and radiation protection.

Forms of teaching
Different types of teaching will be used to reach the objective of
the subject:- power point, over head, and different animation
flash for all subject of thermodynamic subject.
Grading
The exam along two courses has 30 marks, classroom activates;
Participate of student of the subject and quiz along two courses
has 10 marks. Therefore the marks of two courses are 40%.
Final exam: - 60%
