5 DUAS FOR
SLEEPING

All praise is for Allah who gave us life after having taken it from us and unto Him is the Resurrection

None has the right to be worshipped except Allah, alone without associate,to him belongs
Sovereignty and praise and He is over all things wholly capable.How perfect Allah is, and none has
the right to be worshipped except Allah,Allah is the greatest and there is no power nor Allah, The
most High, The supreme. And then supplicates: might except with

O my lord forgive me.

All praise is for Allah who restored to me my health and returned my soul and has allowed me to
remember Him.

How Perfect Allah is,All praise is for Allah,Allah is the greatest.In Your name O Allah,I live and die

O Allah,1 save me from Your punishment on the Day that You resurrect Your slaves.

In Your name my Lord, I lie down and I in your name I rise, so if You should take my soul then have
mercy upon it, and if you should return my soul , then protect it in the manner You do so with Your
righteous servants.'

OAllah, verily You have created my soul and You shall take it's life, to You belongs it's life and death.
If You should keep my soul alive then ptotect it, and if should take its life then forgive it. O Allah, I
ask You to grant me good health.'

Praise be to Allah who sufficed me and sheltered me , and feeds me and gives me to drink , and
conferred great favours upon and gave me preference and who granted me and gave generously.
Praise be to Allah upon every state . O Allah Sustainer of every thing, and owner of every thing and
God of every thing, and for you everything, and owner of every thing, and for You everything, and I
seek refuge in you from the fire.

O Allah, Lord of the seven heavens and the exalted throne,our Lord and Lord of all things,Splitter of
the seed and the date stone, Revealer of the Towraah,the injeel and the Furqaan,I take refuge in
you from the evil of all things You shall seize by the forelock.O Allah,You are The First so there is
nothing before yoy and you are the last , so there is nothing after You. You are Ath-Thaahir so there
is above You and You are Al-Baatin so there is nothing closer than You. Settle my debt for me and
spare me from poverty.

If u take to your bed . then perform ablution, lie on your right side and then suplicate: O Allah! I
submit my soul unto You , and i entrust my affair unto You , and i turn my face towards you , and I
totally rely on you , in hope and fear of you . Verily there is no refuge nor safe haven fromf yo you
except with You , I belive in Your Book which You have revealed and in your Prophet whom You
have sent......If you then die, you will die upon the faith.

I seek refuge in the perfect words of Allah from His anger and punishment ,and from the evil of His
servants, and from the madness and appearance of devils.

I seek refuge in Allah from Satan, the outcast. With the name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the
Most Merciful. Allah! There is no god but He, the Ever-Living, the One Who sustains and protects all
that exists. Neither slumber nor sleep overtakes Him. To Him belongs whatever is in the heavens
and whatever is on the earth. Who is he that can intercede with Him except with His permission? He
knows what happens to them in this world, and what will happen to them in the hereafter and they
will never encompass anything of His knowledge except that which He wills. His throne extends
over the heavens and the earth, and He feels no fatigue in guarding and preserving them. And He is
the Most High, the Most Great.

The Messenger has believed in what was revealed to him from his Lord, and [so have] the
believers. All of them have believed in Allah and His angels and His books and His messengers,
[saying], 'We make no distinction between any of His messengers.' And they say, 'We hear and we
obey. [We seek] Your forgiveness, our Lord, and to You is the [final] destination.Allah does not
charge a soul except [with that within] its capacity. It will have [the consequence of] what [good] it
has gained, and it will bear [the consequence of] what [evil] it has earned. 'Our Lord, do not impose
blame upon us if we have forgotten or erred. Our Lord, and lay not upon us a burden like that which
You laid upon those before us. Our Lord, and burden us not with that which we have no ability to
bear. And pardon us; and forgive us; and have mercy upon us. You are our protector, so give us
victory over the disbelieving people.

Say, O disbelievers,I do not worship what you worship.Nor will I be a worshipper of what you
worship.Nor will you be worshippers of what I worship.For you is your religion, and for me is my
religion.

In the name of Allah the Most Merciful, the Continuously Merciful. Say: He is Allah (the) One. Allah the Self-Sufficient Master (Whom all creatures need). He begets not, nor was He begotten. And
there is none co-equal or comparable unto Him.

Say: I seek refuge with the Lord of the daybreak, (Allah) from the evil of what He has created and from the evil of the darkening (night) as it
comes with its darkness and from the evil of those who practice witchcraft when they blow in the knots, and from the evil of the envier when
he envies.

Say: I seek refuge with the Lord of mankind, (Allah), the King of mankind, the Ilah (Allah) of
mankind, from the evil of the whisperer (devil) who withdraws, who whispers in the breasts of
mankind, of jinn and men.

O Allah ! the stars have sanksd , and the eyes have rested,and You are the the Ever Living, the self
Existing, O!Ever Living, Self Existing, give me calmness at night, and make my eyes go to sleep.

Reap Reward while you Sleep

Baraa bin Azib narrated that Prophet (peace be upon him) said: Whenever you go to
bed, perform wudhu like that for Salah, lie on your right side and say...

O Allah, I submit myself to You

And turn my face to You

And entrust my affairs to You

And lay myself down depending upon You

Hoping in You and fearing You

There is no refuge, and no escape, except to You

O Allah! I believe in Your Book that You revealed, and the Prophet
whom You sent

...Then if you die on that very night, you will die with faith. Let these word be your
last utterance (before sleep)"
