Gs NyC

is an ensemble group of

Indonesian young people resided in New

York City area that has an amazing voice,
good singing competence and outstanding
performance skill that had been proven
through national and international singing
competitions. Consisting of 11 singers and 2
accompanists, we were traveled to some
states in The U.S to perform and represent
Indonesian culture through choral songs. We
used to sing gospel & spirituals,
contemporary music, popular and folksong.

Just year after that, weve been

invited again to visit The U.S to join World
Choir Games 2012 in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Its like a dream comes true being in

this country made some of us think
differently to take chances in here.
Officially, we formed this group in 2012 and
reintroduce this group as GSNYC, GS for
Gema Sangkakala and NYC stands for New
York City because all of us live in NYC.

Mostly, in Indonesia we are well

known as Gema Sangkakala Choir from
Manado. We were traveled around the world
joined the competition and also performed in
some countries such as Germany,
Netherlands, Italy and China. Back in 2011,
Gema Sangkakala Choir were invited to
joined the competition in Reno, Nevada and
right after the competition we were heading
for concerts in 20 Cities over 11 States
around West Coast and East Coast.

Since then, we keep on doing

perform and rehearsal just like before, we
were invited to perform in some of
Indonesian events and church ceremonies
around New York City, New Jersey and
Washington D.C as well.

Gema Sangkakalas spirits had

brought us into this long journey and finally
made us realizes that our call is to fulfill our
esteemed vision of Serve, Testify Here and
Everywhere

We used to sing gospel songs in the

church and some popular music and
Indonesian folksongs for the regular events.
We have been through so many international
stages and big events in Indonesia so we
know how to sing perfectly and scored the
audiences.

So, we figured that we would like to

take every single chance and opportunity to
be well known, to be around, to bless and
inspire people through harmonizes of choral
songs. Its such a blessing for us to make
people smile and to see the look upon their
eyes and wondering how blessed they are
when they hear GSNYC sing.
