- Mexic - meloksikam 7,5 mg BD
- DF 118 codeine, 30 mg TDS p.o., always with PCM
- Pethidine 50 mg i.m. PRN, post operationem
- Aminotryptylline 25 mg OD nocte, for neuropathic pain
2.Antibacterials:
- Amoxyl amoksycylina, 500mg or 1g TDS
- X-pen 2 Mega QID, benzyl penicylline, severe infections
- Cephalexine 500 mg TDS
- Genta gentamycine 160 mg OD, severe infections
- Flagyl metronidazol, 400mg TDS, for Entamoeba, Gardia, H.pylori eradication, anaerobic
infections
- Ciprox ciprofloksacyna, 500 mg BD, for typhoid fever or UTI

- Carvedilol 3,125-6,250 BD, in heart failure or HTN
- Atenolol 50 mg OD
- Propranolol 20 mg BD in liver cirrhosis

- Enalapril 2,5 5 mg BD, in heart failure or HTN


- Adalat Nifedypina 20 mg BD or TDS in HTN, 10 mg TDS in threatened abortion
- Cardio ASA aspirine 75 mg OD, in thrombotic stroke or heart ischaemia
- Aldomet Metyldopa 500mg TDS, HTN during pregnancy
- Hydralazine p.o. or i.v. 25 mg, HTN emergency
- Digoxin 0,125 mg OD
- Amiodarone 100 200 mg OD (for AF)
- Atorvastatine 20 mg-80 mg OD nocte
12.Antidabietics:
- Metformina 500 mg BD - 1g TDS
- Glibenclamide 5mg a.m. - 10 mg a.m. and 5mg p.m.
- Actrapid rapid acting insuline, 10u i.v.+ 10u i.m. + 1l N/S only if coma
- Mixtard mieszanka insulinowa
13.Antimalarials:
- AL IV dla dorosych, BD x3/7 (mild malaria)
- Artenam i.m. 240 mg STAT, then 80 mg OD x4/7
- Quinine dla dorosych: 1200mg loading dose, then 600mg TDS x7/7 p.o. or i.v. (severe
malaria), [no loading dose in pregnancy]
14.Antiasthmatics:
- Ventolin inhaler - PRN
- Salbutamol 4mg TDS (also for threatened abortion)
- Beclometason inhaler BD
- Aminophylline 250 mg i.v.
15.Antiemetics (p-wymiotne):
- Metoklopramid 10mg TDS or PRN, p.o. or i.v.
- Domperidon 20 mg TDS, p.o.
16.Other drugs:
- Haemoforte 10ml TDS x1/12, syrup for anaemia
- Enoxaparine 4 000 IU OD as prophylaxis, BD as treatment (very expensive)
- HAART usually 3 anti-HIV drugs
e.g.AZT (zidovudine), 3TC (lamivudine), NVP (nevirapine), TDF (tenofovir), EFV (efavirenz)
- Anti-TB drugs: RHZE (ryfampicyne, izoniazyd, pirazynamid and etambutol) - for 2 months and RH
for at least 4 months

- Pirydoxine vitamin B6, always with anti-TB drugs


- Haloperidol 5mg- p.o., antipsychotic
- Multivit II OD - multivitamine
- Synto oxytocine, 10 IU before placenta delivery or in case of PPH
- Lactulose 10 ml TDS for constipation
- Senna for constipation
- Tranexamic Acid 500 mg TDS p.o., in case of bleeding
- vitamin K 10 mg i.m. OD, in case of bleeding
- Cholestyramine 4 8 mg OD, in case of jaundice or in liver cirrhosis
- Folic acid -5 mg OD p.o. - before pregnancy and during Ist trimester of pregnancy
- FeSO4 200mg OD as above
- Anti D Immunoglobullin (very expensive) after delivery/abortion if mother is Rh
