DNA-Free Certification
This test certifies any of a wide variety of products
to be free of certain types of DNA and common
contaminants and inhibitors that interfere with
the PCR process.

Features
Certify your lab supplies and products as DNA-free. Certficate of Analysis is
provided for each lot number tested
Two methods available--choose your prefered level of sensitivity
Custom extraction protocols can developed for each product
Test samples are extracted and a portion of extract is added to a multiplex PCR
reaction containing primers specific for human and mouse genomic DNA. These
tubes receive no template DNA so any amplification in these tubes will indicate the
presence of contaminating DNA. A negative control reaction is done with DNA-Free
water as a reference.

RNase-Free Certification
A wide variety of products are certified to be
free of RNase contamination and ready for
direct use in all RNA work using this test.

Certificate of Analysis is included for each product lot number tested
Test Sensitivity: 10-9 Kunitz Units/ l
All testing apparatus are treated with Diethyl Pyrocarbonate (DEPC) to inhibit
possible RNase contamination of the experiment from outside sources. Test
samples of the product are extracted and a portion of extract is incubated with an
RNA standard (6 kb RNA) in a buffered solution with both sodium and magnesium
ions

DNase-Free Certification
This test certifies products to be free of
DNase contamination and ready for use in
any of the many experiments and
applications of DNA.

Test Sensitivity: 10-7 Kunitz Units/

All testing apparatus are treated with Diethyl pyrocarbonate (DEPC) to

inhibit possible DNase contamination of the experiment from outside
sources. Test samples of the product are extracted and a portion of
extract is incubated with DNA standard (1 kb DNA ladder) in a buffered
solution.

ATP-Free Certification
This test is used to certify a variety of products
to be free of contaminating ATP molecules
which can interfere with several types of
enzymatic reactions and also further indicate
the presence of any biological activity.

Features
Highly accurate--luciferase-based assay allows for the most accurate detection of
ATP levels
More sensitive than other methods--test sensitivity of 10-13 mg/l
Certficate of Analysis--provided to document that your products and lab supplies
are ATP-Free.
A luciferase-based assay is used to detect the level of ATP in a sample of product.
Luciferase is the enzyme found in fireflies that causes them to emit light. The
luciferase enzyme catalyzes an ATP dependent oxidation of the luciferin substrate
(shown in the reaction below).

Endotoxin-Free Certification
This certification follows USP guidelines and
FDA regulations to certify any of a variety of
products to be free of contaminating
endotoxins or to quantify endotoxin levels.

are Endotoxin-Free

according to FDA regulations to utilize the LAL (Limulus Amebocyte Lysate) Gel Clot
method to test raw materials or end products for the presence of endotoxins. This
method uses components found in the blood of the Blue Horseshoe Crab, Limulus
polyphemus, which forms a gel-like clot when incubated in the presence of
endotoxins.
