COURSE CONTENTS

PROFILE OF RESOURCE PERSON:

In the last few decades the energy scarcity has

become one of the major issues in the world. The issue
becomes more serious especially for the developing
countries, where the indigenous resources are
insufficient to meet the national needs. Present spate
of energy crisis in Pakistan is the worst this country has
ever faced in its entire history. An energy audit is an
inspection, survey and analysis of energy flows for
energy conservation in a building, process or system to
reduce the amount of energy input into the system
without negatively affecting the outputs.
In Pakistan, presently there is very little knowledge
of Energy Management and Audits among technical
professionals, Energy Service Companies (ESCOs) and
energy audit firms. New trends need to be introduced
which include zero energy naturally air conditioned
systems, rediscovery of the Stirling Engine, and HHO
kits.
