Instructions:
Create a portfolio that objectively demonstrates the skills you have learned this year. Pay special attention to
follow all instructions and tasks, and to submit your portfolio in the correct order. Make sure that you proofread
your project.

Portfolio must be a multi-page 8 x 11 inch booklet presented in PDF electronic form (preferably a
PDF Portfolio) as well as hard copy form.
Pages must be presented in the order listed below.
Students must follow all copyright laws throughout the portfolio.
The intended audience of the portfolio is a potential employer, therefore it must be professional.
All work must be completed by the student. Projects included must be original and authentic.
Portfolios will be presented during the designated final exam period.
Teachers will submit electronic forms of portfolios to the district for grading.

Tasks:
1. COVER PAGE
a. Must include your name, teachers name, school, course name (Introduction to Information
Technology), and period number.
b. Make the cover creative and professional.
2. TABLE OF CONTENTS
a. All items in the document should be numbered (except the cover page), and should be listed in a
table of contents.
3. WORD DOCUMENT PROCESSING SAMPLES
a. COVER LETTER
i. Prepare a one-page cover letter to the employer of a company of your choice for a career
of your choice.
ii. Must follow the current version of the FBLA Format Guide for a business letter.
b. RESUME
i. Prepare a Skills Resume highlighting your current employable skills.
ii. Must be factual.
iii. You must supply all necessary parts, including but not limited to:
1. Objective
2. Education
3. Skills
4. Work History (if applicable)
5. Volunteer History (if applicable)
6. Awards and Accomplishments (if applicable)
4. SPREADSHEET SAMPLE
a. BUDGET
i. Create a spreadsheet that demonstrates a monthly budget based on the financial position
you realistically hope to attain 10 years from now.
ii. Must include all appropriate incomes, fixed expenses, and variable expenses.
iii. Must include a chart or graph to visualize the expenses.
iv. Must be formatted creatively and professionally.
v. Must also include a version showing formulas and functions used.
5. PRESENTATION SAMPLE
a. CAREER RESEARCH PRESENTATION
i. Create a presentation about a career that you find interesting.
ii. Include information on the following: education requirements, helpful high school
courses, job outlook, job openings, employment opportunities, wages/salaries, skill
requirement, sample tasks performed, resources to learn more about the career.
6. FINAL OUTPUT
a. Portfolio should be created as an electronic PDF Portfolio for submission. Student must exhibit
to the teacher that they are proficient in creating a hard copy portfolio as well.
