TOURIST VISA
Applicants must book an interview with the Consular Officer and bring the
documents listed below. For interview booking the office is open from
Monday to Thursday between 9 and 11:30 hours or by telephone or email.
1.
Application form duly completed. Do NOT use abbreviations for
names. Write FULL NAME, beginning with the first name and ending
with family name. The form is available and should be filled at:
(https://scedv.serpro.gov.br/frscedv/index.jsp)
2. Passport valid for a minimum of 6 months from the date of entry in
Brazil Passport must have at least 2 blank pages.
3. One recent passport-size photo (front view WITHOUT HEAD
COVERING and the back of the photo must be white) 40mm x 35mm
size.
4. Personal bank account statements (3 months) and the bank
account statement of the entity sponsoring the trip, if it is the case.
5. Yellow Fever International Vaccination Certificate.
6. Polio Vaccination Certificate for under 18-years-olds.
7. Proof of hotel reservation.
8. Proof of flight reservation.
9. Proof of employment (letter of introduction and slip of salary, for
example); if you are self-employed, proof of financial means for
travelling to Brazil as an international tourist (personal bank account
statement and international credit card references).

Letter of invitation/Letter of introduction from District 9140,
Nigeria.

International health insurance.

Other documents may be required. Only original documents will be


accepted.

Attention! Visa application for under 18-year-olds travelling to
Brazil with both parents must be signed by both patents. Travel
without BOTH parents is subject to special requirements.

Applications must be made at least 15 working days before
intended date of departure. Groups should apply at least 30 working
days in advance.
14.
Every individual participant of groups must come for the
interview with the Consular Officer.
15.
Depending on the place of residence of the applicant, the
request for visa should be made either at the Consular Section of the
Embassy in Abuja or at the Consulate-General in Lagos. 257 Kofo

Letters of sponsors shall not exempt the applicant from
submission of all documents listed above.
17.
Applications will only be thoroughly processed after the
application fee is paid and all the documents presented. Visa fees are
not refundable after the visa is issued. The fee for Tourist Visa is
US$ 65.
18.
The payment must be made in US Dollars through a
deposit at Zenith Bank, Area 7, Garki, Abuja or any StanbicIBTC Bank, Account No.0000336401.
19.
The traveler must enter Brazil within 90 days after the visa is
issued.
20.
Documents left at the Embassy for more than 90 days shall be
either destroyed or conveyed to the competent Nigerian authority.
21.
The traveler is advised to carry proof of hotel reservation,
return ticket and details of contacts in Brazil because they may be
required by the Immigration Officers in Brazil and take notice that
according to International Law, the visa granted is only an
EXPECTANCY of being allowed into the Brazilian territory.
